"I don't get why people would care about 20, 50, or 100 more pixels"
"Naturally, I said that it’s not only a 100 pixel difference. 720p is over 300,000 pixels more than 576p"
That pretty much owned Free Radical right there.
European TVs are widescreen 576p...
Tales of Vesperia was a mistake and is still exclusive to the 360.
Saints Row was never exclusive to the 360, because at the time the PS3 haven't even launched yet. Which is why they decided to scrap Saints Row 1 and just focus on Saints Row 2.
But yeah the other ones like Overlord, Eternal Sonata, and even Lost Planet aren't exclusive anymore.
Eternal Sonata though will be a much bigger hit in Japan on the PS3.
Not as old as the "MGS4 going to the 360" rumors lol.
That one I'm tired of.
The PSP is the only successful portable gaming device that didn't get killed off by Nintendo. Anybody remember the Game Gear? lol
Bladestar, that "ps2 had 120,000,000 consoles" arguement is invalid. Metal Gear Solid 2 came out in 2002, the world wide PS2 install base was probably only around 35-40,000,000 at the time. MGS2 sold at least 5.5 million units. MGS3 sold only roughly 3 million units (many were turned off by the jungle setting)
So yeah it's not going to sell consoles like Halo 3 did, but it's not like it's not going to sell either. So stop with the whole "ps2 had 120 million console...
It's mandatory by Microsoft Law, in order to be a Microsoft developer or PR person, you must at least be a douche bag or above.
I'm not sure how much better a 2.1 system will sound over a full 5.1 system. But then again it depends on the PC setup. It can vary too much.
And I was referring to a home theatre 5.1 surround sound system. And personally I'd rather play on my 40" XBR4 rather than my 22" TV.
But hey look at it this way, i'm not disagreeing with you :)
Graphics: Yes
Controls: Opinion (although I agree, M/KB is perfect for FPS's)
Sound: Unless you have a 5.1 hooked up to the PC (not common), then no. Sound goes to the 360 for the surround.
Actually it could refer to physics, rather than just textures or what not.
And to be honest, the 360 version was very well developed that made even the high end PC version not look too much better. Remember those game trailer comparisons between the 360 and a DX10 PC? Wasn't far apart. Obviously the PC will be able to run at a higher resolution, but the overall detail and image still looked the same.
So it's not too far fetched to think that given a year's time they...
"currently an exclusive"
That pretty much hit the nail on the head. "Currently"
You meant to say it's a "Unreal Based" game. And we all know that engine isn't the best fit for the PS3.
Personally I'd wait for an official statement from 2K. But if it's true, then it's good for PS3 owners. Although I'm probably one of the only few people on this earth who didn't really like the game. 360, PC, or whatever, I just wasn't feeling it.
And as for the "improved visuals" I have to say wait for that one too.
LOL what the heck is up with Microsoft lately? They're on a roll with PR talks. They're trying that hard to take any attention away from June 12th.
Secondly, the 360 in Europe has a 16 month advantage. 16 months! We're talking a full fledge 1 year and 4 months before the PS3 shipped. Secondly, the PS3 launched with "No Games" and a extremely higher price tag and still manages to sell better than the 360.
LOL
It's like playing Overlord. This guy is the Overlord, and all the micro fans here are the little minions going around doing his bidding.
And what do you call the 360? In contrast, the 360's been out on the market 1 whole year longer than the PS3 and Wii.
So shouldn't the 360 be outselling the PS3 by hundreds of thousands according to the PS2 theory? It simply isn't.
And consider that most people who's even considering a Playstation 3 wants the full 80gb model with B/C. It's a pretty amazing stretch that sony even sold that many consoles with just 40gb's.
June 12th marks the day of the r...
I'm going to say this, people will care about what MS or Sony says. But nobody truely cares about what YOU say.
" MGS4 represented the "grand finale" for the 20-year old series, as well as the "final episode of the Solid Snake saga" and "Snake's final mission." "
It's the last Solid Snake game people. People are going to want to see it. And oh yes, people will buy a PS3 just for that.
Sort of like, how Halo 3 was supposed to be the last Halo. But NooOoOOoooOpe. We know how that went beating the game on Legendary mode.
Yup people are waiting for the full fledge GT5 or any Gran Turismo. Look at the sales numbers of the GT4 Prologue for Europe and Japan. Didn't sell that many.
GT5P is probably the best selling "Prologue" but majority definitely want the real deal. GT5P obviously is only catering to the hardcore fans of the series.
As is Halo 3 is to XBOX 360.
Overhyped and Mediocre.
