Yeah I noticed that as well with the PS3 version. However, it's nowhere near game killing and I still enjoyed it quite a lot.
I must say, GRID snuck up on me. Judging by the preview videos I wasn't exactly excited for it. But after playing the demo and seeing more and more videos, this turned into a Day One Purchase for me

When will the Ignorant learn that the blu-ray drive reads the same speeds as a regular drive but the blu-ray drive has much more "distance to cover"
Naughty Dog was smart to make the load times happen the same time as the Cutscenes. The problem with Uncharted though it's not a big deal, is that the cutscenes weren't real-time cutscenes like MGS or even GTA IV. I think even a install for Uncharted could have helped it's performance. It was a beautiful game, but going into a new level you could see the texture pop ups. And it happened with every single new level! Try it and you'll see.
Compression, Compression, Compression...
360 developers have basically mastered the Art of compression techniques . They probably would also use standard quality audio.
A example would be GRID for the 360 and PS3. The PS3 version has uncompressed audio while the 360 does not.
Then it's a change of discipline for the person. Spend $65 on a huge game and not finish it? Just to spend another $65 on a new huge game and not finish that one either?
Haze probably has the install considering the whole game is streamed from beginning to end with no other load times.

Believe me when I say the video game industry is more about politics, propaganda, corruption and less gaming.
Review scores are starting to mean less and less the more games that come out. Granted they are people's opinions, but these big websites aren't paid to have an "opinion." They're paid to give a thoughtful and insightful "buy it or pass it" review. Not "The graphics aren't good. 4.5/10"

I've actually learned from Haze reviews, to take Reviews in general with a grain of salt. I'm actually starting to catch on which websites obviously is hopping on the "I hate it too" bandwagon. You can tell when they really don't go onto much detail why they think something is bad. Or don't go onto any specific areas where they felt the "slow-down" or "pop-ins" or whatever.

I love how people still try to keep making installs look like a bad thing. If the 360 was able to do it, none of you would complain. I also believe developers should start making it optional for installs like UT3 to get better performance out of 360 games. Games that need it probably like Mass Effect or the RPGs like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon.
The 360 sounds like a jet engine just being on. When it reads discs, it sounds like a transformer.
