I knew it would be consumers vs publishers. Alienating one party would harm a console. MS/Sony are in a tight spot.
We each have our preference and I prefer the launch of the vita compared to the 3DS. Presently, I prefer the 3ds software lineup If the vita does not improve overtime, I would buy the 3DS in a heartbeat.
Its a matter of perspective. The online MP has extended console games' life. Graphics/AI has improved dramatically compared to last gen. DLC's is supposedly a good thing but later abused by some developers (and you know who they are).
I believe that the launch lineup was good but the games dwindled after the launch. I'll give it time before making a judgement much like the 3DS. Remember that the 3DS had a barren lineup before its price cut and now it churning out new titles like there is no tomorrow and sales figure reflect it.
This would sell move in Japan, those otakus would certainly purchase this at Day 1
Its cheaper nowadays. Compared to the PS1 and Pre-PS1 era, the PS3/360/Wii era is slightly cheaper. The PS2 era was the cheapest. For PC, Steam has lowered the cost of gaming compared to Pre-Steam era.
Off-topic: having said that, I feel old for knowing the price changes throughout generations.
Hmm, my friend who lives there said that Sony still holds strong brand positioning though Apple has taken a chunk of Sony's market.
I want a Warcraft RTS. I only played WOW because of the lore which took a nose dive after every expansion.
Gears story only pick up during the 2nd game. Still, the interaction of the characters is better than the story itself (Baird>all). That is why Halo is still better than Gears for me.
Video games for me is a hobby, just a hobby. If your kids are so addicted to it and it stop them having a social life then don't blame video games, blame yourself with lousy parenting.
I remember analyst forecast that the PS3 would destroy the 360 and Wii. They also forecast the Wii would have lowest sale because its not a HD console. They also predicted lower PS2-Xbox-Cube numbers because of Facebook games.
Actually, Sony are doing good in their home turf. Its the North american that they are losing badly, their other strong turf which is Europe is in a debt crisis so premium products such as Sony are a no-go.

Its better to get a mixamp + Sennheiser/Audio technica headphones or get an AX 720 and use the decoder of that thing and get the aforementioned headphones. Just put a clip on mic and you are good to go.
All final fantasy games were always linear but the world map presented an open world for gamers to venture around the fictional world though you are limited to the places you can go (i.e. FF9-many towns/places were block by teh roots of the Iifa tree)
I just want more supply of the 680 cards. 7970 is tempting me every single day. Well, a 560ti would suffice for me until I have the money to buy new monitor/s.
I would not put it solely on their hardware sales. The Yen and the European economy has more weight on it. I wonder when t5he global economy will improve.
