We must be comparing a different PSN and XBL.

PSN does not compare to XBL
PC online is free, but think of the price of the PC to get games to run like your console. Also, the main online I play used to play WOW DID cost me for subscription. Also the cost of running a dedicated server (BF and CS) if you really want to have some control over the yahoos out there that come to play with you. That is also not free.
Do I wish XBL was free ... SURE I DO. Does it bug me to pay the $50 ... NO. You lose almost that on...
If you spend $1 a day on a drink for an average of 20 per month and multiply that out for a 4 year span ... now look at both side by side .... hmmmmm
$50 per year x 4 years = $200
$1 per day @ only 20 days per month x 12 months = $240 x 4 years = $960
Funny how that works out really. And the one drink per day give me far less enjoyment than my XBL subscription does.

Soon as you mention you are paying for XBL and have no console ... it is pretty much at least a given you get a 1 to 3 month XBL membership card for FREE in your box with the console you get back.

The average person that buys either a softdrink, coffee, a power drink (ie red bull) spends FAR FAR more than XBL costs. Yet folks still p!ss and moan about the HUGE PRICE of under $4.00 PER MONTH that Live costs.

If I take the $50 a year I pay (for 13 months) that works out to $3.84 a day. I spend more on coffee at work per day than XBL costs me. I experience no lag and truly love what XBL offers.
If they make it free or cheaper but the functionality drops or the service they offer gets less .... well then leave it at the $50.

The X-clamps had a hand in the RROD issues. The new motherboards have NO MORE X-Clamps .... YEAH !!
It uses the 4 point mount which was a mod many repair folks did that eliminated the X-clamp RROD issue.
New quite Ben Q drive as well and HDMI ..... I think I may buy a new one and use my current as a spare down in the bedroom or cottage (even though it has been 100% issue free).
That is what is still giving the 360 a bad rap. The new ones are very reliable, but MS keeps pushing out OLD CRAP refurbs that are junk. And worst part is they stick a new sticker on the back with a recent build date.
My bud has a new 360 with the new gear inside and it is very quite and very cool when running. His old reburb he just got back has a newer build date than the one he just bought yet we don't think it has the new guts.

I have a 61" and it is AWSOME.
Crisp and clear and still puts a smile on my face when watching TV or playing games on it.
Prices are also crazy low on them now compared to less than a year ago.
But, if you are in the market for a flat panel, the new Samsung 81 series LED LCD's are beyond words beautiful. You really do need to see it to believe it. As nice as the new Sony XBR5's are, I would take the Sammy LED LCD hands down.

I may have my preference (which happens to be XBL) but what some folks thing is that buy choosing one over the other, it automatically makes the other worthless or as you would say .. "SUCK"
Both are great. We all have our reasons for why we like which one better, but that should not cause people to think in the mind set that for some reason drives fanboyish ...
