That is called tweaking your setting to get the best from it.
If I follow your logic, I should have left my Sammy HDTV on the factory settings which most call TORCH MODE since the default brightness, contrast and color looks like utter $hit.
That is why they give you differnt modes, color options, brightness options, contrast options .... for tweaking.

I have a 61" 1080p DLP and it is awsome. The PQ is fantastic, ZERO LAG and a price that is hard to beat.
Sammy is also one of the only TV's that accept 1080p over HDMI "AND" component and 1920x1080 over VGA. This was a HUGE selling factor for me since many TV makes limit 1080 to HDMI only.

If they use the 360 as a model (and this is not to say look at what one console can do and the other can't .. but just saying it is a good model to follow since it works very very well), outside a game you have access to ALL. (ie video, settings, media controls, etc, etc, etc)
But While playing, all you really need access to is ....
- access to your music you want playing as you play.
- Messaging (text or voice) .. I also like the access to MSN as ...
Messaging while playing a game and chat function is an awsome feature to have. I really want to see Sony impliment this. It can't be that hard to do with the level of tech power in the PS3.

I really enjoyed LEGEND. Recently bought ANNIVERSARY which really goes back to the root of the game. Perhaps not the best looking (but still looks nice) but much like the original, it really really draws you in and keeps your attention.

I do tend to lean toward the 40GB model. As for the two USB, can I use a USB Hub which in essance will give me the 4 (or with a 4 port hub really then I will have 6) ??
Also, I thought for the SATA 2.5" HDD you need a 5600rpm rather than the 7200 rpm ??
Does it matter ?? I can get a 160GB Sata 2.5" for $90 locally.
Just one more thing, with the 40 VS 80, I think the 4...
