Most dying franchises don't have a 25 year anniversary.

WTF happened to Zeldainformer? Imo it's just so lame now. They have more articles bashing Zelda than praising it.

Well, let's see...

Last time I checked:

1. The video game industry was a billion dollar industry.
2. The Wii was a hit.
3. 3DS has pulled a complete 180, and is currently selling like hot cakes.

... so yea, I think that there might be a market for the WiiU.

Very proud and appreciative of everything that Op Rainfall has been doing to bring these great games stateside.

That being said, I don't have high hopes for The Last Story being released in the USA.

I hope that I can still use my steering wheel. At first I was skeptical, and then it just kinda grew on me. Infact, I would now consider playing Mario Kart without the wheel a step down.

Hmmm research phase of WiiU capabilities... not good.

Nintendo promised Tekken at last year's E3! I realize that the actual game was not running on a WiiU, but still... you showed it!

Man I hope Harada is suffering from amnesia right now, because I really had my hopes up for WiiU Tekken.

Nice read.

E3 can't come soon enough. Recently I have been more concerned with the WiiU first party launch titles. I predict that Pikmin 3 will be awesome, but I am more curious about what Retro has been cooking up. Other than those two games, I am clueless...

Mario, Zelda, and Smash Bros. will be a no show at launch, so I am hoping Nintendo will give us yet another first party gem to break in the WiiU.

Agreed. If they wanna do Pokemon spin offs, then make the MMO or home console RPG that everyone has been begging for since the mid 90's.

But don't worry I am sure that this game took very little time, effort, and creativity.

You do realize that Nintendo existed for more than 20 years BEFORE the Wii right?

I think you mean "Does Nintendo rely too much on their franchises?".

Does McDonald's rely too much on their Big Macs and french fries? What a stupid question. Aren't business suppose to rely on what makes them money?

Articles like this assume that most people don't want to keep playing Mario and Zelda. Believe it, or not, if people were not buying these games... then Nintendo would not be making them (I really cannot put that any simpler...

Excellent read, very exciting.

I am really interested in the point made about Nintendo splitting into 2 divisions (Miyamoto and Iwata). I wonder how this happened, and what could this mean?

Iwata mentioned "bridging" and communication between the 2 factions... strange.

Very nice read.

The only point that I strongly disagreed with was having the WiiU play DVDs. Huge mistake! It's 2012, and everyone has a DVD player. Also let's think about the success of Netflix. Netflix has made TONS of money with consoles this generation, and it will become a standard of sorts (if not already for some). Imo DVD player says last gen... not future.

I think that there is a good chance for HD, 3D not so much...

All cost issues aside, 3D is suppose to be a 3DS feature. Why compete with your own handheld?

I know! Earthbound(Mother) should have been out a long time ago. Did they have some kinda licensing issue or something?

The NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, and Wii are all just alike... because they're all made by Nintendo. /s

And what a brilliant PR move! Let's tell investors and consumers the complete opposite of what the product does! /s

Really stupid or Really lonely... pick one.

Awww I really wanted to slam this article. I've been on the Skyward Sword defensive as of late.

Great read! These are definitely 3 things that I not only want, but expect.

Yea... waiting 5+ years for Zelda games wouldn't be so bad if Nintendo offered DLC from time to time.

Congratulations Europe!

It appears that NoE is actually interested in doing their jobs, and not pissing off their fans.

I applaud all of the folks of Op Rainfall, but I have grown tired of begging NoA to release the games that I want to play. When April comes, we will have Xenoblade Chronicles, and Europe and Japan will have The Last Story and Pandora's Tower... disgraceful!

I realize that things like this happen, but not when a console i...

Lmao@ just be YOU.

Let me guess, Heterosexual White Male... Christian perhaps? I am sure that it is quite easy for YOU to be yourself.

I find it interesting that you brought up minorities and females in your argument. Exaxtly how can a minority or a female NOT point out that they are a minority or a female? If you are a racial minority, or female, then that is quite obvious to all around you. There is NO off-switch! Furthermore I never considered equal treatm...

You keep bringing up the word forced... I don't understand.

Were you forced to read this article? Were forced to spend your hard earned money on any of the entertainment, movies, songs and games that YOU brought up?

Like it or not, there are gay people in our society. Gay people acting gay doesn't force anything upon you. Again, it is simply Gays acting accordingly.

I am not gay, and personally I didn't care for the article, but g...

You know what, I am actually just as curious.

Don't get me wrong, Miyamoto is the best at what he does, but who wouldn't want to see his vision of a Mature Rated game?

Complete creative control with absolutely no consequences! Again, who wouldn't want to take a peek into the dark side of Miyamoto's brilliant mind?
