If this list proves anything, it is that new IPs are not the problem (if there is a problem).
Imo if Nintendo took a serious effort to "revive" every game that fell within the Top 25 on this list, the WiiU would be unstoppable.
It's funny...
Before I looked over this list I really wanted to disagree with you. In all fairness I could not have said it better myself. This list shouldve ended at 25 (and that's being generous).
When I read beyond 25, I literally didn't recognize most of those games. I dunno, maybe it's just me.
Agreed.
Imo, however, (some) 3rd party devs really got lazy on the Wii. A lot devs chose to release ps2 ports instead innovative, "ground up" products. They will simply have to be more imaginative this time around (anybody up for a round of Soul Calibur Legends... I didn't think so. MadWorld... you bet!). Nintendo has to encourage other devs to think outside of the box.
But yea, sadly I am expecting simple ports for the first wave of 3rd party t...
I couldn't agree more, but don't get your hopes up. As much as I love RTS games, the dream of playing them on my Nintendo died after the Gamecube. A few devs (Nintendo included) mentioned the same thing for the Wii. Imo the remote interface would have been ideal for RTS titles.
Now I know what you're thinking... Pikmin 3? Miyamoto must have delayed it for good reason. Pikmin 3 is already confirmed, and if it does well, it should open doors in that area for 3rd par...
All the devs have said that the WiiU is easy to develop for.
Now as far as adding extra content to ports, I'm not sure.
Well I guess that proves it.
As much as I wanted to be skeptical, there was no way that that game was running on the Wii. I say "was" because the video has been yanked. I think we just got our 2nd taste of the WiiU.
I think that the article reflects the gamer.
Easy yes for me.
Of course I want Nintendo to innovate, and give me more reasons to buy a Wii U. Imo the controller should be more than just an extra screen.
Lmao. That was hilarious!
I am sure that Last Comic Standing will be calling any day now. /s
Are you on Sony's payroll?
It's so sad that you have nothing to do with your life.
You claim to be "hardcore", but you are always on this site arguing semantics.
Nice read, and couldn't agree more.
I am not sure that this is a good move for Nintendo. Before this Iwata promised more freedom to 3rd party developers. I am definitely getting a WiiU, but Nintendo needs all the 3rd party support that they can get. Why even plant the seed of doubt?
The answer to unwanted DLC is easy... don't download it! If you as the user don't want developers like Capcom to walk all over you, then hurt their pockets and don't buy their DLC.
Actually, the last 3 Pokemon RPG games had free DLC.
Reading articles like this make me want to purchase a WiiU on day 1. Totally psyched, thanks!
Then what is stopping Sony from launching the PS4 this year?
Ummm you do realize that that is what they are going for with the WiiU right?
"easy to develop for"
"more freedom granted to 3rd party developers"
"Nintendo Network"
Any of this ringing a bell?
Nintendo is like that (ex)girlfriend that you never get rid of. Right now we are in the early dating stage.
When you first start dating everthing is fine. She tells you what you want to hear, makes all of those incredible promises...
Then you move into together, and you see her for exactly what she is.
You can either:
A. Hold her accountable for every single promise that she made. And constantly compare her to the other more...
*... and the Grinch's heart grew 3 sizes that day... etc.*
I agree... Now go save Christmas!
My wish list:
1. Free service (this includes not having to download Virtual Console titles all over again).
2. Downloadable Gamecube games.
3. Swapnote app.
*4. Individual accounts (already confirmed).
I think that it is unfair and pointless to separate "content" from presentation/context. Imo Skyward Sword has great content, and you could not ask for a better stage.
1. You are the first Hero.
2. The creation of the legendary Master Sword.
3. The Legendary Triforce Temple (How could the author not like this? I have been waiting for this since Ocarina of Time!)
Imo Skyward Sword was intended to be presented like a movie. It is a per...
