It’s hilarious how they act like the CMA is ridiculous for even mentioning cloud gaming as an issue… meanwhile, cloud gaming is literally their “disruptive vision” for competing with Sony (ie not bothering with making new competing games).
CMA is preventing M$ from kicking the can on games for another decade.
I’m okay with the CMA stopping Xbox from planning for an industry takeover 10 years out with a huge cloud library (that they bought instead of creating), instead of investing in the current decade first…
…like how they promised games for the LAST decade.

But, and this might be disruptive, M$ is NOT interested in competing with the great games of their competitors. They have a different vision.
They used to not be open to new IPs, which is why Bungie left. Now, they are sooooo open to any creative vision that they have zero standards for their quality. Sony outright canceled the KOTOR remake…. Would M$ ever do that?
And as long as you can get all of Xbox’s $70 games for $15/month, M$ hopes your standard...
Releasing this game in this condition was like handing in a book report without reading the book.
You can’t be proud of it when people pick it up to read/play; in fact, it must feel embarrassing to anticipate the inevitable disappointment.
I feel bad for the studio. It’s gotta suck knowing your whole office, your entire culmination of work after half a decade, is being universally labeled as lacking a creative vision behind the game mechanics.

Nobody gets to flounder in an industry for 2 decades, but maintain a foothold through outside successes.
That is anticompetitive, that is an easy out for a trillion dollar company, that is too long of a wait to deliver on already decade-old promises; and it’s bad for gaming.
You did with the 360… you just didn’t replace Bungie and CliffyB.
