This statement seems hypocritical since Microsoft has dropped out of E3 proper in full and only holds an adjacent event, which, mooches off the ESA's E3 event schedule. I wish Xbox would own up to it and have their own standalone event to celebrate with its fans.
Microsoft, Game Pass cannot be cheap and if the price goes up too much to offset costs it will not be seen as a value and subscription rates will drop.
Not really unless they absolutely do zero promotion for the entire 2020 year, which, Sony will not.
Not a surprise, since, Layden said as much after skipping the first time that E3 has out lived its purpose and needs to restructure.
Folly for hardware sales but Microsoft is moving to a service based model so as long as you have Game Pass they don't care.

It might be a pleasant surprise but don't be shocked if they skip to have their own event. Before Shawn Layden left Sony it was made clear that Sony was done with E3 as it is now. He went on to say that given the modern internet environment with influencers, press, and fan communities that holding your own event is more cost effective and delivers similar if not better results. However, maybe they'll pull a Microsoft, EA, Devolver Digital and hold the event around E3 time but not pay ...
No, Xbox Series X will leave current Xbox in the dust and Microsoft will rely on Project X Cloud or Devs to creative a lower spec version for older hardware if the financials work out to do so.
Awesome, it's always cool to see hardware pushed to its limits by software. My hope its something I would want to play and not some 3rd party multiplayer battle royale moba like.
Yes, the past year and a half as been cruise control leading up to PS5. Like it or not they are saving news and release information for the lead up into PS5. At CES 2020 it was revealed that PS4 sold through to customers 106 million units doubling or tripling its competitors.
Nintendo's online Infrastructure & services needs a lot of work first. However, with the excuse that it protects children they'll be slow to adopt modern internet communication standards and tech.
Hardware wise no but depending on the software released it can have some sucess in 2020 just like 2019.
If you're a console gamer that likes to find deals or borrow games from friends and or the public library buying a disc-less Xbox is a big mistake as it locks you out of these great options that digital only cannot match.
Both next gen consoles are using NVMe 4.0 Gen4 drives. So yes they would be faster than a standard SSD, however, this is not an exclusive technology it's already available on AMD motherboards running the newest chip-set.
It could be only when you pick-up heavy weapons that it goes into 3rd person. I kinda forgot that it did that already in the past games.
Breath of the Wild, I wish that I could have loved it like everyone else but it never really clicked like the past games.
Given the tech it will be at a loss and come in at $499.99.
Third-person camera view and or option interesting option or change if true.
A rather generic concept of a beam scanning through a landscape, ship, object etc. that has been seen in many sci-fi media pieces.
We will need to see how the Devs can handle the workload and the additional cost to have one SKU be compatible on different architecture. Just like the beginning of this gen we saw a mixed bag of compatibility between Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Can the games truly deliver and take full advantage of all the new features of Series X if they need to be curtailed to run on older hardware? I guess will have to wait and see it cross-gen compatibility will be worth at launch. I have no doubt first party...
