That is a developer thing and i'm sure they'll follow suit once PS5 is fully announced.
Hardware can only facilitate the gameplay but the Evolution will have to come from the game software that is in development and not necessarily the hardware manufacturer.
Can't blame them for wanting to take care of their employees especially given that the number one complaint heard about any PAX is how poor the hygiene conditions or practices are at the event.
Look at the NPD decade chart and the money it rakes in from all the people who enjoy and purchase the game.
This is an attempt for Xbox to move the goal post after doing terrible in console sales. Sony and or Nintendo needs to "re-create Azure" not sure if Phil was made aware but Microsoft and Sony entered into a deal last year for Playstation to use Azure cloud services so they are not recreating anything they are a customer just like Xbox is of Azure services. Now if there is some crazy conspiracy that Microsoft would sabotage Azure for Playstation that is too crazy to think about. ...
Probably looking at a NDS or 3DS life cycle length which kinda got long in the tooth.
Will be great for Game Pass subscription, PC sales, and consumers how don't have money to spend but will hinder Series X console sales.
Cliff is cool but Gears needs fresh new blood and ideas to bring it back as a AAA top tier game.
That should be sold through not merely shipped 108.9 Million units.
A majority of Nintendo's revue comes from Indie games and to a lesser degree 3rd party titles. Allowing the PSN store indirectly via remote play into its eco-system can eat into Nintendo's profits, which, could hinder this dream idea from happening unless a profit share can be agreed on.
Not sure this will help with the games library currently available. Most "gamers" already have these video games purchased elsewhere and the average person accustomed to paying mobile prices for games will get sticker shock. Without that cliché killer app Stadia is in trouble, however, they have tons of cash so they can probably float until their internal studios begin putting out titles at least.
Haven't we heard all this before? At the end of every console generation these tired articles begin trickling out.
This seems like a cool little project but the grey market $5 Windows 10 key seems sketchy.
Most of these will be pop-ups and remember this is global not just US and not only established events.
Have it side-loaded on the Nvidia Shield TV and it works okay enough but you can tell that its not as crisp as a native solution.
Most people have this machine to play Indie games on the go and there will be no shortage of these little gems coming out in 2020.
Reminds me of the Subor Z Plus Chinese PC/Console Hybrid w/ AMD Ryzen+Vega that Digital Foundry showed off a while back.
Not too crazy about the design but at least it looks like it will fit in an living room entertainment center.
All these new controller features seem cool, however, I hope Sony can still keep the price at a reasonable level. It would suck if all controllers become Elite with the price point to match and the only other options is 3rd party scaled backed junk to get a $40-60 version.
Been using it for awhile now better but still laggy on Xbox One X.
