Well they aren't going to ever release a game earlier than scheduled... But the games that are pushed into next year would likely end up being released late winter, spring, or early summer...

There are simply a lot of games coming out this holiday. Not only does MS have several 1st party titles in that window, but there are quite a few 3rd party titles that quantum break would have been contending with. The holiday was simply over crowded.
GT hasn't been to great lately... Its the king of having a ton of cars, most of which use identical models... And some of the assets are recycled from the ps2 era. That's pretty gross...
Also GT's AI is terrible compared to Forza.
Ms said the first dx12 games will launch holiday 2015 and you can bet many multiplat games, which typically use pc as the lead platform, will be using dx12. This will allow developers to spend less time porting to xbox, and more time optimizing
Why?
This is hardly a substitute for halo 5. Firstly it's Russia only. Secondly it has no campaign. Thirdly, no one is going to say "who needs Halo5 when I can play F2P P2W halo...
It could be a fun, revenue generating distraction, but at the end of the day, halo fans are gonna want the real thing. If any thing, this will expose the franchise to people who don't get to play it, and convince them to get an Xbox for the full experience.
I disagree, there are no benefits to internal over external.
With external: 1) you can still utilize the HDD that came with the console, 2) you can very easily transfer you data from the old HDD to the new one, 3) you don't have to open your console- it's idiot proof. 4) you can bring your're digital library with you easily. 5) it allows for awesome peripherals like this : 4122d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

When are the ads getting in your way? From the home screen, you access "my games and apps" which takes you to your collection without seeing any ads. Or you go to pins which is also ad free. The friends tab is also free of adds. The only time you see TV is if you decide to go to the "what's on" tab. And the only other time you see ads, is when you decide to go to the store.
In other words, the TV and Ads are exactly where they should be... Out of sigh...
Day one adopters are never shafted. They new going into their purchase that there would be revisions, updates, and price reductions in the future.
Being first at the line was important for them... And thusly, they got what they paid for.
I hope this game and genre does well on xb1 and consoles in general. I went through the tutorial and decided it wasn't for me, but it's good to see more options available.

To be fair, there are benefits of digital.
It's true that you can't resell it. But you also can't misplace it, or break it. The medium doesn't degrade. That's where the value comes from. It's good to have options.
If I think I'm going to want to trade a game in, I'll buy it on a disc, or just rent it. If I know I'll value a game for longer than it'll have trade in value, I'll get it digital. I'll also get it ...
Everyone knows ONI is the villain... They are just trying to use an uninformed Locke to get rid of him.
It's not a revenge plot. Locke doesn't even know MC. He's just a Spartan following clandestine orders from ONI. Chief has gone rogue, likely because he know knows things about Oni and UNSC that he previously was privy to.
Also chief is the chosen one, based on his genesong. What was percieved as luck during his development is probably a result of Halsey having prior knowledge of the librarians efforts and actively seeking out candidates who fit the description... ...
Why wouldn't someone mention xb1? It will help tremendously for porting games from PC to xb1.
Sure, some Xbox games already use dx12-like features, but that's only been 1st party titles. Now that multi platform development on the Xbox 1 won't require as much special attention to get maximum performance, 3rd party games will benefit...
I don't think they need to reinvent the wheel to elevate this franchise. They've got the engine. Now they can focus all there efforts on the area's where the game lacked: AI complexity, warewolf encounters, pacing, level design, replayability...
They already have a solid foundation, now they can work on making something geat
