I remember playing fatal fury after a hard days work at the slate rock and gravel company with my pals fred and barney.
I still have yet to beat botw. I was honestly underwhelmed. Small dungeons was a big problem for me.
As a massive MGS fan, I strongly disagree. I had to spend 60 plus hours beating a game spread way too thin, missing 3 major pillars for metal gear games.
Great boss fights.
Great and lengthy cutscenes.
Piles and piles of exposition.
100% agree. Fun quests and deeper side stories than most open world games.
@brando008
All the stuff littered across the map were to find different things for completing armor and weapons
Not every game needs to be 100+ hrs. I beat last of us in about 16 hrs on my first playthrough (probably
9 if I played now) and bought it twice. If I could get 10 different 10 hr games as good as that, I'd take that over 1 skyrim styled game. We have gotten to the point everyone wants open world even if it is super repetitive quests. I say no thank you
Grow a 3rd arm
Nier Automata is still in my top games this gen. Wish I had the time to play it again
Shit. MGS4 is my favourite. I'm glad someone can acknowledge MGSV is very lackluster
God I could only imagine if MGS4 came out now. Solid Snake smokes a lot in that game.
Realistically 9 out of 10 times cases like this, the game doesn't bounce back even with massive improvements. The last game I can think of was diablo iii with reaper of souls
Why is this generation obsessed with corgis?
I'm never getting Geno in smash and it hurts my soul
Literally the ps4 bookend titles have me the most excited. Death stranding, lou2, ghosts of tshushima
Adoption
Because the movies are pretty trash /end convo
Megaman did it better

As a die hard MGS fan, phantom pain was a let down for having mgs staples in it. Cutscenes were great but there were so few. The story had great ideas but felt cobbled together in the last half. Boss fights were mostly bullet sponges which is not what I expect from Kojima. At its core the story sounds great but it was not fleshed out enough.
The role queue is nice at times though. My brother is a healer most of the time. God forbid he play another role. He would get pigeonholed into healing because no one will play healer unless I'm on as well. I'm calling it now. With everything going on at blizzard, overwatch 2 is going to make overwatch 1 appealing again.
I personally stick to the event weeks mostly but enjoy the game enough. RN I'm focused on the new cod (it finally feels good again)
