U know who knows how to do a good adventure game with QTE, Quantic Dream. Walking Dead from Telltale suffers the same problems of "player Driven" games before it. All these options with branching paths but leading to the same ending. Except in this games case it's very few differing paths.
Heavy Rain had way more depth and for some reason ppl forgot about this 2010 "player driven" game. hell indigo prophecy with worse graphics had way more depth and that came o...
One is not original in any way shape and form, the other will be talked about for decades
*goes back to playing TLOU*
I agree pretty much with this entire article. Joel is a realistic character
I honestly say to those ppl that think joel was in the wrong and say. If u were a father and this was your daughter(I know technically it's not, but u cant deny the connection) would u be ok with her dying for mankind. Especially after u see how ppl act in this world. Humans did not and probably would not deserve a cure if this happened in real life. Because to me the societal break down that happens in that world would probably be pretty similar in real life
Very true. Ppl keep saying they felt almost dirty after everything played out because they controlled him.
Password screens, or only what lives u earn or have from the start to finish the game. I'll tell u what i do miss. Unlocking stuff like weapons and costumes by doing something hard, instead of earning a digital trophy or paying $10 plus for dlc
especially worked when they added architecture dlc
Solid snake
Big boss
Kratos
Link
Megaman
Ness
Geno
Revolver ocelot
Sweet tooth/Kane
Frogg/glenn
Would could play as ish. Or bring bill back
Now I do not think TLOU is the best video game story of all time. It is one of the best this gen though. Unoriginal, far from it. I loved this game and i am sick of zombie stuff, the market is flooded with it.what other game has as fluid animation as this with u beating the crap out of someone. As far a the plot goes it is a game in this genre that is for once not cliche, thank God. Hell mass effect is story driven and i mostly love that series but pales to this. TLOU will go down as one of t...
A friend of mine put it best. All these cool games that came out this gen were just sitting in a room, when TLOU pushed everything out of the way especially resident evil
TLOU story was much less predictable. Where the walking dead was extremely predictable, on top of that it was ridiculously cliche
how was walking deads story better? Ending seen from a mile away. TLOU ending so far out of view I might as well be the first European stepping onto the Americas
I cant stop gushing about this game

Loved the story in TLOU. Did not see half the things coming
Walking Dead was mediocre. Praised for its "amazing story" and "unique gameplay"
Don't get me wrong I got walking dead for $20 so it wasnt a terrible buy. But it was too predictable, probably more so with the fact that the developers said we wanted to make players cry led to one of two possibilities for an ending which came true. Oh and the gameplay is just a straight rip of Heavy Rain which quantic dream has been doing since Indigo Prophecy.
Last of Us...
Perfect ending. I just like how with the way it ended, everyone assumes that only marlene knew about ellie. There will b others. Different factions as well, like the "government"
I'm tired of a ton of ppl looking at Joel as a bad guy. I mean what he did was selfish but in a way, mankind kind of doesn't deserve a cure. No one is usually willing to help a stranger and they r willing to kill just to get something from somebody else. Whether it be supplies or even just power.
This is a franchise that I really wish they would revive. And I mean "megaman" not "X"(sry never was a huge fan).
If done right could work great outside of being just a sidescroller. I say draw some inspiration from DMC
