I'm with ya, I see this as a prime target for an "Alan Wait" joke, or whatever, but I refuse to stoop to that level. The game needs time for development, and with this premise, I really want them to knock out a gem.
I'll be buying this on PC, assuming it doesn't get constant 5-6 scores in the reviews and all.
"360 fighting the winning battle, PS3 NOT." I sort of agree.
The 360 is fighting a battle and winning.
The war, though, is where we veer off into different opinions apparently ;P.
You're judging millions of PS3 owners based on the comments of dozens of N4G members? Trust me, it's not remotely this bad on the PSN. It's a bit quiet (hopefully Home and SOCOM change this), but don't let N4G hold you back from a PS3.
I don't let PoG, GiantEnemyCrab, Odion, Mart, etc. stop me from considering a 360 purchase.
What bugs me is the god awful parenting. I didn't read this article specifically, but on a few other sources they made it out like this:
Parents let kid stay home from school to play a game he's technically too young for (I'd be lenient about this stuff generally, but this kid may not have been a good candidate for more mature games, if ya know what I mean), and they had a FULLY LOADED RIFLE within an 11 year old's reach!
I mean seriously, if I had a kid and a gun, ...
I don't think the 360 (general, not this one) is ugly. I just don't like the look because of my perspective. I don't really know why, but I feel that they tried to make it kind of futuristic-ish, and that makes it kind of difficult for me to take it completely seriously.
Maybe it's the power ring, or just something about the design, I honestly can't tell you. Don't get me wrong though, it's not terrible or anything, it just *sometimes* looks a bit weird to me. I like the look of ...
I'm sure the play testers told them it was boring / too long / useless or something like that.
"EDIT: you also forgot to mention that gears has horde mode...resistance doesn't. so i guess resistance isn't a true sequel since it left out a feature some other game has."
Wow, way to miss the point completely. Just because R2 didn't add every feature under the sun doesn't mean it made less changes than Gears, that's such a base and ignorant statement.
"You crawl like old people screw!"
That line was cringe-worthy bad.
Mm isn't first party though...
"First of all, I can tell you that you can make private levels. You can publish a level and make it locked and give away keys to friends. But, I personally wouldn't put risky content in there. We have a post-grievance system. The way that works is ... pretty much at any point in the game, you can press a button and effectively take a screenshot. That screenshot knows lots of information of where that screenshot came from, what players were there, etc. You can send that screenshot to the ...
I don't understand why Nintendo want to drag this on and on. Honestly, get a HDD. Pop it into a Wii style case. Sell it. It's the fast, simple, reliable, cheap solution that everyone would go wild for, yet Nintendo just HAS to be innovative. Maybe they should focus on innovation for their next console, and focus on serving their customers with this console.
RIP 360? It's been doing fine and it's only been a bit behind PS3 in monthly sales. In no way is that a dying console. It just means PS3 is doing better.
And it's just Amazon. Nothing to be proud of here. Worldwide sales and territory sales are what count, not a biased sample.
I never played Gears, but I assumed it was the standard "people good, aliens bad" story. Hopefully GR got this right, because anything less would make this story lame for me lol (when I play Gears 1/2 on PC, if I feel like it).
I'm not surprised with what I read. MS wanted to be first, and they paid the price. They did reap the rewards of second place as well though (so far; who knows who'll win).
I'm shocked at how many MS fanboys here say "blah blah RRoD is old news," though:
"All everyone keeps saying is 'get over it' or 'that was so two years ago.' Well, we're not getting over it and neither should you. If enough people see what really happened, hopefully we can make sure th...
The kid probably didn't put the gun to his face and shoot, he was acting like Master Chief, then slipped, shot himself who knows where, and there ya have it.
Rehashed Oblivion shouldn't be GotY, imo.
LBP seems to be the best contender. I swear though, if GTA4 gets it somehow, imma be mad!
That's exactly what I thought. The telescope is a neat addition, but it's kinda bad imo. Why have a line for a billboard? I would just say "**** it I don't need to see what it is." With LBP, you just kind of run into it.
Plus, the tagline for LBP is muuuuuch better imo.
closed beta has been active for a bit now. Open beta starts later this year.
Hey Cherry, Too Human was in the air for 10 years, and developed for 4 years. Dyack RAN HIS MOUTH OFF so effin' much that this game had to be the greatest thing ever made, or nothing special at all. Remember Molyneux with Fable? Remember Daikatana (Ugh, that game had no excuse, but still lol)?
If Too Human was advertised as "a good game" instead of "if you say it sucks Dyack is gonna bury you," then it wouldn't be the butt of an online joke. Sorry, but it's th...
