I think Sony isn't concerned with this console war at the moment. They are a company that needs to make a profit. They can go and counter everything MS and Nintendo do, every time, but that would yield them with a bankrupt gaming division.
Right now, I believe that Sony's plan is to just do their own thing, and put their competition in second on their priority list. They need a profit now. They can worry about the war later, or in the next gen.
Not just Plastic that shouldn't be rushed. All of the demoscene groups involved shouldn't be rushed. Nor should Santa Monica for that matter.
Technically, they had the same problem with Joker, and he's shaping up pretty well.
I lol'd at Sonarus' comment. Some people need to calm down, since he kind of DOES make a point, ya know? Not every exclusive in necessarily AAA material. Not saying SOCOM will flop, but you can't say "this game is obviously good because it is a PS3 exclusive."

That was completely your perspective. You thought "It's only on 360, so he's bashing it because of that." Maybe, he said it based on their previous game, Infinite Undiscovery. It's not a good thing to do sometimes, but it's not necessarily a "fanboy" thing. Look at what you thought of first, and didn't even look at it another way and rationalize it.
True. Look at why WipEout HD got delayed, and just try to make fun of Sony for that. I'll easily wait for those bonuses. Killzone 2 delayed, but for strategic reasons. GT5 delayed to improve GT5:P for their current fanbase.
A delay isn't always a bad thing, ala Haze. Sometimes, they need to add more awesome into a game.
