Yeah, I'd be complaining about this... but for one it's Japan and I don't live there, and for another thing, I'll be playing WKC, Heavy Rain, FFXIII, and God of War 3 around that time. Oh and maybe Yakuza 3. I can afford to wait.
I feel the same way about you. Until you reach Kojima status, STFU.
David Jaffe took 7 minutes out of his life to talk to his fans. You're such an unappreciative ass hole :(.
I really doubt you know what goes into making a video game to be whining like you are.
Speak for yourself. I know dozens of people who don't need gimmicky "gimme more" game play.
My friends and I appreciate video games, we're not children trying to one-up each other with online ranks, bells, and whistles.
And if what you're saying is true, then why was MGS4 so good? Bioshock? Arkham Asylum? Demon's Souls? Assassin's Creed? Mass Effect? See, plenty of games focus heavily on your single player / campaign experience.
@11.1
I play through games twice or more for the same reason I read books more than once, or watch movies multiple times.
You start to notice way more things. References, jokes, attention to detail, plot devices, etc. I can't imagine playing a really good game just once, since for me a "play through" is more like 3 passes through the story.
Who cares if they keep playing? Them playing at all means the game sold haha.
And as long as the game play is GOOD then there's no need for silly little gimmicks like "Hey if you play for 2 more hours you can a SHINY NEW HUB CAP YEAAAAAAAH!"
"Jaffe's just wannabe."
If Jaffe's a wannabe then what the hell is a man like Bleszinski?
Honest question.
@1.28
If you want to know why it's news then watch the video and read the info on youtube.
Half a second from GUARANTEED victory, which would net them AT LEAST $40,000.
A 360 freezes, refs call for a rematch, and they lose. They lost $40,000 because a 360 over heated and ruined the game. That's a little bit more than "typical" if you ask me.
@1.14
From what you read? Oh come on that's weak. There's game play videos out there and tons of interviews that show that you're wrong. Do you think you know something that the entire gaming industry doesn't? People are aware of the existence of point and click adventure games.
It's like when Halo was released. Or when Golden Eye was released. Yeah, there were FPS games before it, but these were *different.*
I'll put my life on stake to take that bet.
@18.2
Wrong wrong wrong wrong WRONG.
Why don't you watch a gameplay video and educate your ignorant self just a *little* bit.
I could just as easily complain about any other game with the same logic you used, but I'm not ignorant like that.
Simplest gameplay imaginable?
I think that's closer to an FPS (it's been done a million times, and all you ever do is run and shoot anything in your crosshair. Real complex **** right there).
Yeah you have to appreciate story and emotion to enjoy Heavy Rain. Can't just go "Ahhhh stop talking why can't I just shoot them wtf this game is stupid!"
You also can't have an irrational hatred of QTEs.

Read the article, please.
"Context-sensitive controls are nothing new, and even the game’s stylized split-screen approach (which allow the player to see the action from several angles) was used in the studio’s last game, Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy, state-side).
The game borrows stylistically from Quantic Dream's last project, 'Indigo Prophecy.'
But as Cage is quick to point out (...)"
You can see the rest for...
No telling which one looks better until March.
But saying that GoW3 has 1080p graphics then saying "but this graphics cant beat Uncharted 2" makes absolutely no sense.
@2.4
It does suck that we might not get the video on the 18th, but that's still about TWO MONTHS before God of War 3's release (assuming March 16 is accurate enough). That's plenty of time.
And if HHG is right, we'll at least get some new screen shots and interviews, so it's at least some consolation.
This patch was scheduled to come out like a year ago, almost. Bleh.
@1.9
Read the damn article.
"It turns out the host's Xbox 360 froze up, dropping connection for everyone else at a very inconvenient time."
It's not just a game freezing. It's because of a "faulty Xbox 360" just like the title said.
@1.2
Not only that buy he mentioned that GoW 3 comes out in March and Halo Reach in Fall. It's God of War's hype time, and Halo will get its fair share when it's closer to release. That's completely true.
The chance that Versus goes multi is VERY low.
