I have a PS3. Cost me $400 (~$200 less then what a gaming PC would cost me).
I get exclusive games. I can still buy PC games on my old gaming PC. I DON'T pay for online. I mean, it's not as bad as you make it seem. Only thing I really miss out on is upgrading it myself (which I don't mind missing out on) and installing programs (which I have my PC for).
I definitely want 3D gaming. It won't affect games negatively in any way.
It'll just be more immersive and fun. Imagine playing Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, or Dead Space and seeing **** jump out at you in 3D. That would be crazy.
Then Gran Turismo 5. What better for a racing simulator than some 3D?
First Person Shooters would probably be more intense.

I'm sure SONY has info about peoples PSN accounts, including trophies. Just make a search for someone who has gotten an unbelievable number of trophies in a minute or so, and ban them. They obviously didn't accidentally hack a save, right?

Most people here don't even realize that gameplay elements take up very little space on disc. Audio and CGI are what truly rack up those GB. I love reading through these comments and seeing people think otherwise haha.

You do realize that SE has already made a good profit off of FFXIII right? That's even without releasing the NA versions (read: 360 version).

I'd rather just NOT buy the DLC that should be free, save that money, then buy a different game altogether. A full disc-based game will always be a better buy than a collection of DLC, in my opinion.
PS3 version will have uncompressed audio (thanks Blu Ray), so if you have a good audio system at home then the PS3 version already should be looking a bit better to you.

Money really isn't all that important to me. I'd rather run things MY way and have MY vision come to fruition instead of just blindly following the cash trail.

I always wonder what they'd do years down the road. Someone buys a game for their old PS3 since it's cheaper. They want the platinum, but there's no one playing online anymore. How would that be fair at all?
Demon's Souls plat isn't as difficult as others. Beat the bosses is easy if you don't suck, and for all the items? Well, you can go online, trade, and as long as you've had the item in your inventory it counts. Not hard at all with teamwork.
Go play WipEOut HD and get trophies like Zone Zeus, Elite Campaign Legend, and Beat Zico, then you'll realize that there's no way to get them without pure ****ing skill.
Yeah I'm going to wait a little bit for the price to come down, but I am interested in 3D gaming.
I imagine it'd be a blast to have some friends over and play some 3D games. In real life I don't really know too many people who would complain, get pissy, and call it all a gimmick like how the internet does.
