Its not "900p" At all...900p would be 1600x900 which is the resolution of Ryse...
The Order is a full 1920x1080 frame with the top and bottom 140 pixels being black bars...
As for the frame rate argument..the comparison comes about when you have a game on both platforms...like Tomb Raider...in that sense it shows the PS4 hardware being stronger...in the case of exclusives you can't make the comparisons...but trust me...if the game is running @30...
But misterX says........
@dedicatedtogamers
the problem with doubling or tripling the size of the ESRAM pool would be a ripple effect on the rest of the silicon...
the APU itself is already rather large...with GPU space being sacrificed for the existing ESRAM...tripling the size of the ESRAM pool means either A. increasing the size of the APU a whole bunch...OR decreasing the size of the existing, already less powerful GPU...
Poor misterX and his friends...they will still say the Xbone version looks better and that they are waiting for the "stereo" drivers
This is a joke right?..I'm not even going to bother actually reading the article...
For the WiiU to play the "PS3" roll it would need to actually be the most powerful console, held back by its enormous launch price and its asinine hardware design...
The Wii U shares NOTHING with the PS3 outside of some strong first party software...
for the record...i dont believe the ESRAM is the problem...the real problem was that during the design process they were set on 8GB of RAM...at the time the only was to guarantee that they could secure the needed hardware they went with DDR3....
the ESRAM is a bandaid solution to try and make up for the slow bandwidth of the DDR3
Sony was OK with the idea of 4GB of RAM, and therefore went with GDDR5, and got "lucky" and was able to secure the proper...
its quite funny how Albert's tune has slowly, but surely changed over time...
prior to launch, he arrived over at GAF with guns blazing...going on and on about how there was "no way" that MS was giving up 30% performance gap to Sony...and now that we have seen instances of 50-100% differences (depending on what metric youre looking at) he sits here and says things like "the differences are not that much" or "i think Ryse is the best looking game&q...
certainly not
i dont buy this for a second...are they working on a new console? yes, will we see it anytime soon? no..
EA doesn't feel stupid...MS backed a money truck up to their front door to get exclusivity...EA got paid no matter what...
its a week after launch...im shocked Sony was able to get any units back on shelves...
maybe DICE should spend more time making sure their game actually FUNCTIONS on next gen consoles before they release money grab DLC that should have been included on the retail disc to begin with
The difference was...the PS3 was more powerful...yet harder to develop for...
Now the PS4 is more powerful and easier to develop for...
"Next gen scaler" my ass...every AMD GCN graphics card comes with the same hardware scaler...that means the PS4 has the exact same scaler built into its GPU...
Also...Ryse does not use the hardware scaler because presumably Crytek is the only developer making a game for the Xbone that understands that the ridiculously over sharpened images of BF4, CoD, and KI on the Xbone look AWFUL so they used their own solution...
You probably still think the &qu...
You realize that you have the story completely backwards right? Both Nintendo and Sega turned down Sony's CD-Rom add on for their consoles...so Sony decided to just go ahead and make their own console...
Nintendo screwed themselves...
The mistrrX blog has been in full scale Chernobyl meltdown mode since this image was released...
Its great
a black box that had the single largest launch day in North American console history....this article makes no sense...there is nothing "shaky" about the launch of the PS4...
you drink misterX's koolaid don't you??...
talk about a "fraudulent inaccurate website"
Somebody sounds very butthurt about DF picking the game apart...
You've completely missed the point...its not that games NEED to be 60fps...but when one console is ABLE to run a game at 60fps and the other is not able to run the SAME GAME at 60fps that shows hardware strength differences...hence the comparisons...
As for Killzone...it runs at an unlocked frame rate...its almost ALWAYS higher than 30fps...but they just released a patch allowing you to lock the single player portion at 30fps...
The devs wanted to crank u...
