How have they not moved all of those Day One consoles yet?...I'm baffled...
@gamer1138
4 CU's are absolutely not RESERVED for anything...but even if they were...
that would still be 14CUs vs 12CUs for graphics...and those 4 CU's "reserved" for "compute and audio" would be acting in the same role as those "special processors" on the Xbone...
i truly wish people wouldnt act like they know things as fact when they are completely wrong (or just blind fanboys)
Hahahaha!! I missed you Frigid with your MisterX fueled drivel...
The problem with your argument is that the PS4 and Xbone use the same CPU with a marginal clock speed advantage for the Xbone...the PS4 is actually better suited for offloading of CPU tasks because it was designed with GPGPU in mind...
There is a reason for the 14+4 suggestion...
It leaves 14 CUs for graphics...and 4 CUs for compute (offloading off rom the CPU)...
The problem is that if you dedicate 4 CUs to compute on the Xbone that leaves o...
People need to not comment on things when they don't understand them...looking at you KNWS...
The PS4 has always had..and always will have 18 Compite Units (CUs) available to developers...
For various reasons (that are pretty irrelevant to the discussion) it is SUGGESTED that 14 of them be used for rendering (graphics) and 4 of them be used for GPGPU Compute (basically offloading of CPU tasks to the GPU)...which is the opposite of the PS3 where GPU tasks ...
No...because its using 18 lol
18 as always...
No
Incorrect...absolutely incorrect...it has 18 active CU's...all of which are available to developers...
This is what happens when high budget titles are not meeting deadlines and are not developing properly...
Nothing more than that
the best part is the idiots over there are still buying into the stuff the "insider" has to say..lol...
now they are using semantics as an excuse and talking about how since the Xbone is such radical new tech nobody knows how to properly explain it...
This was to show the ease of porting engines to the new API without any performance hits...nothing more...
4k = 3840x2160 = 8,294,400 pixels
1080p = 1920x1080 = 2,073,600 pixels
not surprising in any way whatsoever...
your 1080p TV can only display its native resolution...so either the console will upscaled, or your TV will upscale...the 360's scaler is much better than the PS3's so MS allows the upscaling of every game on the 360 to 1080p by the console itself...
either way, your TV will do it if the console doesnt...
Nothing stopped them from listing 1080p on 360 cases...why would they stop them now?
Free DLC >>>>
and it continues....
if you want them to cut corners...use no AA, pre-baked lighting, poor texture filtering and reflections...then sure they will hit 1080/60...
expect 720/60 for Halo 5...and then be happily surprised if they hit 900/60...
anyone that thought it was going to help a ton is kidding themselves...LED's by design dont use much power...the problem is simply the battery is too small lol
