Look, you have to think of it this way. If there was a woman protagonist, how would she fit into the story? Would she be hardcore or timid or afraid? I think you could do a lot of cool/funny/terrifying things with a woman protagonist, or even antagonist in my opinion.
But this is just part of the gaming culture; woman need to be saved. Times have changed, but the goals of games haven't as much as culture has. (Mario, Final Fantasy etc.)

I think a lot of the old issues we saw in GTA IV have been resolved such as the annoying cell phone, insane car physics(too realistic although fun in races), and the real purpose of money.
A lot of the writers points about possible negatives that could pop up aren't really things I'm worried about. The cover system I'm sure is going to work well. If I end up driving out to the middle of nowhere, I'll just switch to another character. I'm sure the controls...
I read a little bit and there is definitely a few spoilers, but from what I read( mostly the final paragraph), we're in for a real treat. I don't want to give anything way, so I'll just say, yeah, this game is going to be leaps and bounds better than any other GTA we've ever seen.

I feel like Just Cause 2 was too big for it's own good. It took what seemed like forever to get from one point to another. It was fun for a little bit to just mess around, but it nothing on GTA: SA.
If you actually download a GTA V torrent, which isn't even being released for pc at this time, then you totally deserve everything you get.
Don't forget there's underwater exploration as well. I've heard this map is as big as all the other GTAs combined. There will also be the online portion of the game as well so don't worry! There's going to be tons of stuff to do :D
Bugbear is one of my favorite game companies. Every game they've put out has been nothing short of amazing. Those physics looks almost perfect. It's insane.

I hate articles like this so much. There is no winning. Either your conference sucked or it didn't. Both were good in my book and the only winner from this bitter rivalry is the gamers.
If there was no competition for Microsoft, then all their old policies would have stayed put most likely. The gamers would have suffered completely.
Now, I would absolutely love to purchase an Xbox one and get Forza 5, but then I would have to purchase a brand new steering wheel because Microsoft doesn't want to support any wheel but their own. It's absolutely ridiculous. This is the reason I didn't buy an xbox last gen and still won't this gen.
I live for racing and racing games and I'm not going to be forced to buy another wheel when I already have a $350 one. Sorry, but I'm just going to have to...

Just about everyone and their mother has played Minecraft on PC if they're pc gamers that is. But even so, I think it's awesome that those who stick to consoles get to play and it enjoy it as well.

I was already incredibly excited for this game until I read this article. Now I want to do a backflip! I can't, but I would if I could. R* is one of my favorite publisher/developers in the industry and this is why. They put so much effort into everything they do and push the boundaries of what we think is even possible. 700 missions is a lot to do with friends and strangers, and this isn't even including just screwing around lol.

I don't know how you can destroy console gaming completely. There will always be some type of gaming outside a computer or tablet.
As for Nvidia GPUs vs. AMD GPUs, I have to go with Nvidia because their gpu software isn't total garbage unlike AMD. I've had sooo much trouble with AMD's catalyst it's insane. If AMD can get that right, then I'd have no problem switching.

There may be only 80 people working on the game, but one of them was my old DirectX teacher and he was an amazing coder. These guys are definitely talented and this game is going to be so awesome. Sucks this game is exclusive, but ... I'm getting a Ps4 anyways...so... yay!

Yeah, that is the other side of the mandatory Kinect argument.
For myself, I wish the Kinect wasn't mandatory so the console would become more affordable, but on the flip side, it does indeed allow an assurance for developers that every person will have a Kinect, therefor creating unique features that utilize the Kinect's sight and sound.
That's what I'm looking forward to now that the Kinect is mandatory. Just sucks that it's so pricey....
