While I agree SE are really making big mistakes in their attitude to the sleeping giant that is the PS3 [In japan, at least] Sony can't really do much in terms of stock now a days.

He also pretty much hates what SE did. He hates the idea of multiplatform titles, as I think he believes you can't fully utilize a system if you're going to be worrying about others capabilities, or what have you.
Why does -every- single title -have to- have online? It's stupid!
I don't care for online in most games, I'm happy to play the Single Player through, and then go about getting a new game, or completing everything I need to in the title I have.
I never needed multiplayer for FFX, or Valkyria Chronicles. I never needed Multiplayer for Persona 3, or Fallout 3! In fact, the only games I've ever seen a real -need- for multiplayer, are fighting, racing and pure FPS/TPS

On that note, I didn't think NA was the -only- gaming market either. In fact, I thought there were 3 primary gaming markets, and lo and behold, the PS3 has been outselling the 360 since launch when they're combined...
Of course, you'll say that the world doesn't matter, because NA is apparently the only market that matters...
It's basically a way to have a clan. I imagine the price is to do with the fact with HOME, you'd essentially get a free voice chat server if they didn't charge.
Take for example TeamSpeak. That sort of thing costs money, and well, I imagine HOME is running the similar sort of ideal in Club Houses. The added benefit being you can make a fancy room for everyone to hang out in.
I see Club Houses as one of the more valuable things about HOME
You can already earn a few free items. The Arcade games, in the Bowling section, if you play Ice Breaker to certain scores/levels, you're awarded with a new Tee, some new trousers and even a hat
You get the Male and Female versions too, so it's pretty neat.
Judging from this, I don't see why trophies won't earn some form of reward in terms of items, clothing etc. It's already implemented to a small degree, so why not give the player base what they want.
You act like it's a good thing that rehased shooter after rehashed shooter is able to sell in the millions, while games that take a different approach sell nothing.
In my opinion, it's one of the worst things in gaming right now, to know that quality is being ignored for the sake of "guns, guns and more guns"

There will come a time, when games will all be exact clones of each other, and people will wonder, what on earth happened to trying to be different.

More willing to chow down on rehashed shooters, and the same generic and overdone stories, over new, innovative and engaging gameplay.
What's worse, is that except for a few, most "gaming journalists" are just as blinded by these typical, predictable and in my opinion, fairly bland games.
I'll be happy knowing I purchased some gems that deserved to be bought. It's just a shame that we'll see less...

Sony's stake in Square was drastically reduced upon the merger with Enix. SE sales =/= Sony sales.
The fact is, SE sales have gone down the loo, because they've focused on portable titles, and released poor quality title after poor quality title.
Well, I'd certainly be annoyed if they chose not to use one of the Villains of FFXI. It wouldn't feel very complete if they use a villain from every other FF before XI, then only use a good character from it.
I am surprised they didn't take it up until FFXII though.
