The writer just don't like this game so he gave it a low score, that's it.

I believe in generalization, it's statistic. When the game is generally scored decent and you find a score very low far from the average, you can ignore it.

After all, FF7R is a mainstream game, not a niche one, that makes it easier to generalize.

"Maybe that money would be better spent into making games."

The Witcher 3 cost 32m to make, yet cost 35m to market it. By your logic, CDProjekt already have the money to make The Witcher 4 even before selling The Witcher 3.

Those marketing budget surpassed the cost of the ga...

"But, those are PS4 games. What about PS5 games? Your not saying the can just sit back on their laurels and just do nothing are you? The problem with that are the rumors start that can be counter productive"

Not only rumors, PS3 launch was a real mess if you were mature enough to witness the situation that time.
Bulky consoles, high price, somewhat weak library, less quality port than the competitor, even i thought PS3 was done for.

Psychologically, buyers tend to have more satisfaction towards exclusivity. It gives them the right to judge that their purchasing are the correct one. It's a fundamental thing to build loyal fanbases. After all, the gamers, are human too.

Technically, exclusive games tend to be developed with the best utilization of the hardware they're using, and usually with a decent budget. So the expectation the exclusives have to be in high quality is quite high. No wonder th...

Games, for Sony customers, are something to be taken for granted. 4 previous generations have proven that.
And Sony customers don't have to be in a hurry because Ghost of Tsushima and The Last of Us 2 are near.

I was expecting mind blowing presentation even if the games only available 2 years later. Just to show their commitment.
Even smart delivery won't be as useful if the games aren't good enough.

Agree.
Or it will be massive jump but 30fps with slowdown here and there for AAA games. Just like we always have in every generation.

And i don't mind if devs will go to sub 4K for better graphics/performance. Sub 4K still look very good IMO.

I remember years ago Tomonobu Itagaki, former Chief of Team Ninja (Koei Tecmo) said that it's not that they refuse the idea to make in-game ending scenes of Dead Or Alive games completely, but they couldn't do it because they didn't have enough resources (artists, engineers, time) to do that. So, they have to outsource to make those ending scenes by hiring 3D animation studios from outside the company.

Not that it always the reason, but that's just an exampl...

Why not? Terrible or not, the context here is a "Cyberpunk setting" and the design is truly represent it.
I think design is very very good, though i might be a bit bias because the commercial trailer is very good too lol.

I'm not restricting myself. I play any game as long as it good and doesn't hurt me. Playing first person genre always makes me nauseous, even some people are just like me, but i doubt you'll ever understand though.

Not interested in Xbox One, not interested in the game either because it's first person, but that design is superb!

You have every right to be pleasantly surprised. PS3 Fat durability wasn't good. Playing PS2 isn't worth that much. I'd prefer more durable PS3 Slim just like you were. Had they sent you your PS3 Fat back, it would break again.

Very nice design. Very nice commercial. The console looks like coming from the past, the time when cyberpunk setting known for the first time. The design reminds me of 80's Sony Betamax C7E.

Good. Cyberpunk setting and Japanese technology corp are always butter and bread.

Couldn't agree more. Most of 3rd party companies, when parity is achieved, they won't do anything unnecessary. If by anything the more advanced console gain more framerates or resolution, consider that a bonus.

"That is why I'm saying that this might change with games being made with the SSD in mind. BUT they have to prove that will be the case. As there is no precedent for a bump on SSD speed mattering for games after they left the old Sata standard behind."

Ha. Fair enough. Sony has to prove it. I'm being optimistic here, i don't think Sony put that fast & more expensive SSD (with smaller capacity) just to eliminate loading time.

And a game pass machine. It's not that bad actually if they market it that way. Their exclusives aren't very strong compared to it's competitors, so, just fight in the other departments.
