I think it's as useless as the rest of you guys, but I also completely disagree with what Sony did. It sets a horrible precedent, basically saying companies can take things back after you've bought them via patch. Worst of all, it wasn't even necessary. Only phats have Linux capabilities, and they haven't been in production for close to a year. They would have phased themselves out over time.
I didn't like VIII. Ran out after school to buy it on launch day, finished it by the end of the following weekend with a big old "meh".
For me it goes something like; VI > IX > VII > X
Everything else before and after those is a big ball of mediocrity.
...IMO.
Every year people say it's the best for gaming, but damn... 2010 is spectacular. Every platform this year is jamming shelves with ace titles all year long.
The trailer for LBP2 makes me insanely happy. Whenever I start getting down on how the industry I love is turning into this business-driven wasteland where creativity goes to die, I fall back on games like this, and companies like Media Molecule.
It's the best of the PS1 Final Fantasy's IMO.
It's a weird double standard with sex. You can use it as much as you want if you're selling something (which, let's face it, is the whole purpose of MTV), but the media loses its collective shit if a celebrity has a nip slip, or some alien side boob makes an appearance in a video game (lolFoxNews).
They're much more lax about violence here. The only reason a game like Manhunt 2 and its original AO rating had to be censored is because none of the big 3 will a...
Was wondering how long it would take for someone to say that.
Kinda disappointed that it took all the way until comment 7.
They're all old anyways. Came in here hoping for actual new screenshots, but I shoulda known. Every article about this game from the past couple months has had nothing but old stuff when claiming "new".
Burnout Paradise was awesome. Put something like 200 hours into that game, at least 150 of that being online with friends. Favorite arcade racer this gen.
Marketing the crap outta this game. My friend found two of the ice blocks they laid out around certain cities a couple weeks ago. Had 360 demo codes in PS3 game cases, and a little plastic salamander boss.
These events only bother me when the "VIP"/pseudo-celeb crowd are paid to attend and pretend to give a crap about gaming. At least a charity will benefit from it this time.
Yeah, you can get them for a fraction of the price used. Well worth the money too. Got a whole CD book full of Dreamcast games.
You're right, you got me, I don't have all systems, I only have a 360. My PS3 broke last year, and the others (PS2/DC/GC) are in boxes at the bottom of my closet. Add me if you want- actually, don't. I don't want people like you on my friends list, but feel free to stalk my online presence. Unlike you, my tag is in my profile here.
I'm interested in Alan Wake, but it isn't even out yet, so I dunno why you'd hate on me for not saying I loved play...
Mass Effect 2 is the only 360 game so far this year I really liked, and it's probably my favorite game of the year right now.
Never gave a crap about the first Mass Effect, even with friends telling me I need to try it. Was a rocky first hour or so in ME2, forcing myself to stay interested, much like how I reacted to Fallout 3 the first time. In the end, as with Fallout 3, I loved the game once I got into it. Liked it so much that I went and ordered the first Mass Effec...
It really does seem very substantial judging by the Game Informer piece. It sounds like they're launching this one as the platform title.
Noticed that too. I think sak bumped his head.
Haven't played the beta yet, so I can't comment on it. I wanna try it, but not so bad that I'll go buy ODST.
Well, Matt Sera beat GSP. Fluke or not, he won. Everyone's got a puncher's chance. Plus, you typically won't find many "bad" fighters in the UFC. TUF is about as amateurish as it gets, and some of those guys are pretty damn impressive.
Dunno, just happens. Pretty much all of my PS1/PS2/PC games end up with scratches after awhile, even if I take immaculate care of them. Need some of that protective BluRay coating.
Yup, I don't play 360 games unless they're installed. Night and day difference. Sounds like a disc-scratching harrier jet is circling my room if games are not installed.
The weekly top 1% for Killzone 2 wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. Played body count at Radec Academy for about 3 hours a day for the week and got it. Think I even skipped a day. I was usually in the top 3 in each match, though.
I don't even think they CAN charge for online play. It's not setup like this whole universal "thing" the way XBL is. Devs/publishers have to provide their own online systems for PS3 games, as far as I know. That's how Konami got away with that retarded Konami ID system for MGO, and why all online games published by Sony run on dedicated servers.
They'll do subscriptions for other things, but I don't think they're in a position to charge fo...
*psst* Hey, got a secret for you, but don't tell anyone else, k?
The PS3... it has... ONLINE GAMING! That's not even the really crazy part. Sony doesn't even charge for it! Must be running on dusty old internets or something.
