Nice, been wanting to try this one out.
Super_Secret actually has a 100% correct track record, as opposed to people like Surfer Girl/Gamesblow/HHG who would be lucky to break 25% accuracy. They've proven that it doesn't matter if you get 9/10 things wrong, some people will rant and rave about the 1 you got right.
My 1st PS3 broke while playing Fallout 3. Had to pay $162 for a refurb from Sony. My 2nd PS3 (the refurb) broke less than 2 weeks before Uncharted 2 came out. Had been waiting all year for that game, #1 most anticipated title of 2009. Felt like I got robbed. Still bitter about it, haven't bought a new PS3 yet.
I hate all of the big 3's mouthpieces except for Jack Tretton. He's the only one that seems like he was absent when they shoved the corporate bullshit chips up the asses of everybody else. Greenberg does grind my gears extra hard. I think he got a double dose.
The PR language surrounding this is all very Molyneux-esque, even when it's not coming directly from him. That's a bad thing, for those who haven't been keeping score at home.
This is why I was against Microsoft entering the console business since the very beginning. I actually like the 360, but I absolutely despise Microsoft. The only innovation coming from them are new ways to charge you money for things that should be free. Anti-consumer to the fullest.
It's also why I hate 360 fanboys more than any other breed. Apathetic and clueless while shoveling your money into Microsoft's pockets for things no one should be charged extra for. It's complet...
Yeah, I'm pretty surprised he hasn't done a lap already. Seems like he'd be near the top of the list of people to get for it.
Had to buy ODST to get into this right? Is there any other way? Reach is the first Halo since the original to pique my interest.
Irony: Kotaku saying another media source can't be trusted.
Personally, I never took Famitsu seriously. I keep hearing about how they've been around for like 9000 years, and they're such a prestigious entity in Japan. F*ck that. They loved Haze and The Last Remnant. They obviously don't know their ass from a good game.
There were too many cheaters in D2 back when I quit in 2001. Great game, but plagued to the brim with cheaters.
Hardly has any meaning anymore, like "innovative".
30+, according to something I read earlier around here, which turned this megaton announcement into a semi-facepalm realizing that they're going to sell us the rest of the characters as DLC.
Waited this long, and it arrives at a time during Capcom's life cycle where they're aiming to charge extra for any and everything they can. Mixed feelings on this game's announcement. I want it so bad, but not how I think we're going to get it.
"With the roster, Capcom plans to include over 30 fighters from both universes. That's a far cry from the whopping 56 characters from the previous game, but that's due to the publisher's inability to create that many brawlers in a year."
Knew it. I'm sure they'll release the other half of the roster as DLC. It's too bad this game finally came about when my faith in Capcom is at absolute zero.
You know, at first I thought this was a real D-bag comment, but I realized it's very similar to a situation with my dad several years ago. He's a huge sci-fi buff, shelves full of really classic books from the genre (has a whole row dedicated to Dune). He picked up 4 Halo books and absolutely hated them. Said they read like a video game, or what he'd expect a video game to play like. All action, no substance.
I'm really bummed that we'll never get a real Okami sequel. The original team got canned after making Okami, and formed Platinum Games.
MvC3 better have like a hundred f*cking characters. Somehow though, I have a feeling it'll have even less than MvC2, likely accompanied by weekly sodomy DLC packs that include the missing 3/4 of the roster.
It is his hand, holding the gun. Don't see how someone could have confused that for his mouth.
Agree that BlazBlue is the best fighter so far this gen. There's a certain group of friends I have that are totally die hard about fighting games. They're the kinda people I bust out my Dreamcast and CD book full of obscure fighting games for when they stop by. When we play Street Fighter it's like; "hey, wouldn't it be funny if we played Street Fighter"?
Very much like Halo in that sense. Its popularity greatly exceeds its quality.
This series has always gotten too much of a free pass over the years, IMO. Flowchart Kens still doing the same moves from the same unbalanced move set from 20 years ago is not my idea of a good time, or something that deserves its legendary "God's gift to fighting games" status. I'm sure I'll get pummeled with disagrees for saying that, but whatever. It is what it is.
Guilty Gear > Street Fighter all day long.
Blur demo was fun, but it's Activision published so I couldn't get it even if I wanted to. Not new, anyways.
I'm a big fan of arcade racing. Not so much into the sims. I've always said that I'd pick Burnout Paradise and Motorstorm over Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5 any day of the week.
Edit - Just did a couple races. The demo is extremely limited (race and quit demo are your two options, period) but it is fun, especially when you start really messing around with the...
