The thing is last generation tech on PC is still a generation ahead of what's in consoles. So running Crysis on medium or high settings is still way better than most, if not all console games. I have an i7 930 gtx 460 8gb of ram and i can't max out crysis but i can play it at very high at a good enough framerate. PC gaming is pushing technology forward but technology moves so fast that consoles are outdated before even released and if they were to use the latest cutting edge tech pric...
KZ3 is a fantastic looking console game, probably the best out there so far but you just can't compare it to PC games because it caters to all types of hardware, there's a reason people shell out the big bucks for high end PC hardware. They expect to see dramatically better results which in cases like Crysis, they do. KZ3 should be compared to Crysis 2 on consoles or any other console game, PC is just a different beast.
nothing on consoles will beat Crysis, it's a fantastic looking game, running on max settings at 1920x1080 with a stable framerate no game comes close. The textures/details just can't be done on a console with limited RAM.
Mass Effect works on PC because of all the commands you have to issue and hot keying your powers to the numbers on the keyboard. I found the interface much more convenient than a controller which has limited buttons. Although if you prefer the gamepad you can use that as well for PC.
Major differences will be resolution/textures/framerate due to better video card and more available RAM on PC
Great game, have it for the PC, cannot wait for the 3rd one. Glad all 3 platforms enjoy it now!

good read, basically its gonna take the next generation of consoles to push PC tech forward unless the game is a PC exclusive, which is the sad but unfortunate truth. I guess on the plus side we won't have to upgrade as often? my i7930 gtx 460 should last me a few years at this rate.

I agree to an extent but the graphics aren't terrible. I'm running it on ultra settings, the character models aren't bad, the environments for the most part look great, lighting looks good. Obviously the game wasn't made to be the next Crysis but at the same time they should have upgraded some aspects of the engine (moreso than they did) All in all though combine the graphics/gameplay/content the game is still a win.
