I remember at the start of this generation everyone assumed that the PS3 would destroy the 360 and Wii in sales, I mean with their track record what could go wrong? The moral of the story is to never assume things.

As people have already said, Nintendo's pushed back their big guns. Also their marketing for the Wii U has been dreadful and they need to fire their marketing team and hire people who actually know how to sell people a product without flashing lights and dubstep.

They've been hiring so many people lately. It really makes me think that Retro is working on two games, maybe a new IP and a revival (like Star Fox). Or maybe this game is massive and they need more devs. Either way, we should find out at E3. And I swear to Bionis Nintendo if we don't see Retro's game(s) at E3 I will strike down with the power of a thousand suns. 'Sigh' I just want to know what they're working on...

Yep, the Wii U is doomed, it had a terrible launch and no games coming in the foreseeable future, no other system has experience this in it's first year and survived...except for the PS3...and 3DS...and Vita... wait, why are we all doom and gloom about stuff that happens during every console launch again? Oh right, Nintendo!
It's hard to beat the launch of the Wii, at least in terms of hardware sold. But yes the Wii U's launch wasn't terrible like the 3DS, Vita or PS3.
And yeah I've said it before but Nintendo really needs to discontinue the basic set. Every time I see stacks of Wii U's at Target or Best Buy it's always the basic bundle. For 50 dollars more the deluxe is the better deal.

Sony had no part in it, being published by Namco. If you have to complain to anyone for a lack of advertising, it's Namco. Although I think Namco has done an okay job so far with advertising the game, but that's just me.
The JRPG has always been here. When people said the genre was dead, games like Persona 4 and Eternal Sonata were keeping it alive. And games like Xenoblade, The Last Story & Tales of Graces F set the gears in motion for a comeback.
No no no, this is fake. Shenmue 3 is never happening. I would love to see it, after the end of 2 I wanted to see where the story would go, like everyone else, but the games were flops and Sega is only interested in making Sonic, Aliens, Football Manager & Total War now.

Fatal Frame, Trauma Center & Metroid are the main ones that come to mind.
So I got Ninja Gaiden 3 at launch purely because i'm a NG fan and for launch hype and consider my impressed. Well he does kind of have a point. Due to internet speeds, input lag & bandwidth limits in some countries it makes having a mainstream cloud based system almost impossible to do in 2013. Now with that being said, years down the line cloud gaming will be the future, but it'll be a while due to what I listed above. Hopefully by then Nintendo realizes how important Cloud gaming is.
