I feel sorry for gamers unable to play The Last of Us. It really is gaming greatness. Playing through on survivor difficulty with low supplies/ammo listening to clickers and runners wheezing, screeching, wailing, and moaning in the dark not knowing around which corner the next threat would stumble was truly one of the greatest edge of my seat/my god I'm sweating/nervous moments in gaming for me personally. Naughty Dog knocked this one out of the park, as they have become accustomed to ...
Oh poor pfft....Sony has a long history of supporting their consoles with, you know, great games and fantastic exclusives. Microsoft?? Enjoy that tv passthrough, because as we've seen with the original xbox and the 360, after they've raped your wallet they don't support their product late in the console cycles. Case closed. Better luck with dat bone though. I'm sure the company that was ready to implement draconian drm has changed it's stripes. Oh you poor, poor shee...
Naughty Dogs brilliance in The Last of Us is all about the understated horrors within that game world. From pedophilia and rape to the consumption of human flesh, they don't beat the player over the head with any of it, but it's definitely there. Bill being gay was just another example of the team at ND leaving suggestive hints for the player, and letting the player fill in the blanks of the experience. They basically said it without needing to say it outright. Naughty Dog is awes...
Gravelord, Call of Duty sells by the boatload also but that doesn't mean the franchise is getting better or innovating. Gran Turismo needs alot of improvement. I'm hoping that the inevitable PS4 GT game will be a revolution, rather than an uninspired evolution of the same ol' thing.
The Division, Destiny, The Order:1886, Infamous Second Son, MGSV. I would include Uncharted or Mass Effect, but I don't see those making a 2014 launch.
There were a tremendous amount of quality titles this year, not just triple A blockbusters like The Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, and GTA V, etc. etc. but indies like Brothers:A Tale of Two Sons, Gone Home, Resogun, etc. etc. etc. That deserves an A.
TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.TLOU. TLOU. TLOU.
U must be one sad little boy. You have my condolences.
Said the guy who doesn't own a playstation and had no ability to play the true GOTY, The Last of Us. Sucks to be you.
This is a guy who thinks Call of Duty is the bestest games ever. Wake up and smell the Sony exclusives.
Another confused somebody that thinks his opinion is the correct opinion. Grow up.
EA drove the good doctors to drink and they left the company they founded brokenhearted, albeit with sacks and sacks of cash.
Sad the loser who has never played it. Crawl back under your bridge troll.
TLOU. Was there ever any doubt?
I'm with you thejigisup...why would I want to reduce the viewing area of what I'm watching to watch two tiny images side by side? No thanks. I'll just keep switching video inputs on my a/v receiver and see full picture thank you.
I thought the cloudzzz were going to make the Bone 10 times more powerful??? Never seen 720p cloudzzz before....curious.
Precisely yanikins, precisely. The xbone can do everything....except games. You want apps, you got em'. You want tv, they got that too. But games at the highest resolution from the best first party studios on the planet, err....redmond, we have a problem.
I didn't mind the omissions because I'm already very familiar with the titles you listed. I was more interested in the games releasing next year on that list I didn't know about.
Very nice listing, very nice indeed. Thank you.
This years E3 should be stellar. Very much looking forward to seeing lots of reveals and juicy surprises.
