These days, they shouldn't really. I think like early when with the likes of the PS3 when the console was clearly in the red and you invested in one, it might be a good idea to follow the progress for abit, much the Dreamcast awhile back.

Is that a healthbar I see there? I believe it is. This makes me happy. Think I'll actually play R:FoM again and R2. R2 was a dissapointment to the great first game. Sure the graphics were improved but it lost a lot of what the made the original fun.

Demon's Souls was fantastic and this will be very much like DS. Infact the developers FromSoftware have said they want to make it so hard that they don't want people to complete it.

Why does this bother people though? The textures, the lighting, graphics ect ect. Crysis 2 looks fantastic. People seem to nitpick at this shit all the time. What exactly do they do, stand dead infront of a wall to see if the textures are good or not?

One of the best multiplayers out there. If you have to try this then I urge you to do so. Once you get past the learning curve its a really, really great game. One of the few games I bothered buying DLC for as well.

Seriously though, put a controller in my hand and I'll use it. 360's is fine, very comfortable and I like the size. Sony's DS is just second nature to me after many years of playing PS and PS2. Can't understand why anyone would have an issue with it.
A perfect example. Demon's Souls. A small niche game with a clear low budget with the usual expensive cut scenes removed, focused completely on gameplay and it was one of the best games we've seen this generation.
Please, please re-release RE4. It was such a good game and I'd happily play through it again and again in HD.

I think people seem to forget the text that usually shows before playing a demo that says "This does not represent the final product" so yeah, see if the retail version is bad before judging it on a demo. Despite the looks department, how did it play?
This article describes completing Demon's Souls as a pyrric victory (winning but at a devastating cost to the victor). I disagree, Demon's Souls should be embraced by gamers. Going through on my 3rd or 4th playthrough and eliminating Flamelurker in a few hits makes it all worthwhile. Hell my first playthrough will be an experience I will never forget and finishing the game left me craving more to see what I could find in the twisted world of Boletaria.

If the opening of Heavy Rain achieves at least one thing its this: the characters are human. They're normal people about to have a traumatic and life changing experience and by having you go around doing these argubly pointless tasks you can see this. I think some games genuinely deserve to have a HD make-over. I believe thats the real issue here. If I set up my PS2 on my 40 inch TV it'll look stretched out and dissapointing. Not that this completely ruins it for me. I still have my N64 currently hooked up and will look beyond it being stretched out and blurry (or just make the screen size smaller.
