Maybe the fact that the film industry spawns nothing but remakes and reboots and lacks any kind of originality to attrack any kind of audiance when alot of the decent films are found elsewhere these days.

Surely this can't be true. For an online shooter, a subscription fee? And all access to what, exactly? Couple of new guns, a new map occasionally, maybe some new customization? Anyone willing to pay a subscription for useless crap like that deserves to have their money taken from them.

Hope this isn't true.

Personally I think Crash's time has passed. It was great back in the day, me and my friend spent hours glued to the couch cranking Crash Bandicoot 2, but that was the, this is now. Developers should be trying new things rather then dragging up old franchises that aren't even theirs.

I personally don't want part of my childhood memories soiled.

While I've not played the full game, I was lucky enough to play the demo at Grimmfest, a horror film festival.

I think the review sums it up nicely. In this day and age, in a generation that is pretty much numbed to violence and horror, Splatterhouse feels like a bit of an antique. I will still pick up the full game when the price drops as I do think it looks fun and from what I played, I rather enjoyed, I just don't think it was worth price of £32.

Think its about getting older. In my teens I would spend hours blasting through a game, completing it and returning it to the shop and use the 'I'm not satisfied' card and get new one. Repeat.

These days, not many games seem to grab me anymore. Castlevania for example. Was loving it for abit but slowly as it wore on I just lost interest.

Ahhhh Warhawk. Now THAT was a fun multiplayer.

The Orange Box? Do yourself a favour and get it on the PC.

Good review. Sorry to say I missed out on these games last generation, I was occupied by Jak and Daxter.

While this was good, one line there I didn't agree with.

"While The God Of War Collection - Sony’s first foray into HD remakes – was an excellent effort, it was clearly a relic of a generation gone by."

I didn't think so. Don't forget, many games blatantly use this forumal that God of War perfected, and fail and don&#...

Didn't get any of these games on the PS2. Think I may look into this HD port though.

"You get to see the history of Sucker Punch as a developer, you get to play some of the best platformers of last generation, and you get one of the greatest bargains in video games since The Orange Box."

Pretty much sold me on it. Loved Infamous too.

You missed Dead Space.

Thought everyone knew about this game anyway? Read about it on N4G earlier last week anyway.

On the sunject of Black Ops itself, I bought it, it arrives tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it actually. I know CoD games generally get a lot of mixed feeling and I certainly won't be following any reviews on it here but I think the simple gameplay is what makes them enjoyable. That and the zombie modes, gotta love the zombies modes. See you online folks.

So torn as whether to buy this game. Skipped MW2 but this looks good. Plus its Treyarch which means the lovable Zombie Mode I adored so much in World at War. Argggg What to do!?

Bought it, played it for abit, will be cranking it over the Halloween weekend. Its pretty awesome for £8

Sounds like the pathetic arguments of a guy that desperately wants attention. As hyprocritical as this sounds, maybe he should do something more productive with his time rather then attacking a market that is prospering and is as big as its ever been. You know, theres world hunger Jack, theres an economical crisis at the moment and generally more messed up things in the world then violent video games which that have about as much of a negative impact on society as a guy whos car has broken do...

While I agree that Gears Online mode is a big part of the series, I wouldn't compare it to the likes of MW2. MW2 seemed like an online mode with a campaign tacked on for good measure. The Gears campaigns, in my opinion, seem to stand well on their own 2 feet and offer a satisfying and fun experience from start to finish.
When my friend told me he beat MW2 in just over 4 hours, I would of felt a little cheated.

A 'terrible' game? Wrong choice of words my friend. Gears 2 was a great game. Granted the online was prety buggered. But since I only played Horde Mode online, I thought the campaign was really fun and worth playing through several times.

I'm not even gonna read this article. I'm going off the title alone here cause I don't wanna give a such a crappy sounding article hits.

How exactly has Halo: Reach failed? Any of my mates that have bought and played it really enjoy it, the fans seem genuinely pleased with it, its gotten high reviews and it sold millions. Doesn't sound like it 'fails' to me.

As I put in other comments, I'm no Halo fan, but any game that has been r...

If I think the game is worth playing over again because I find it fun, then yeah I'll go for trophies/achievements. Admittedly I've only ever got a platinum in one game and my gamerscore is just under 5000.

They can be fun to collect and occasionally I may go back and grind my way through a few games I enjoyed to earn that extra gold or that extra 150 points. Its not that I'm competeting with anyone or trying to big up my game score and show it off online. They ca...

This is true. Just shows the stupidity of most of the users on N4G.

Fanboyism of this nature sickens me.

This is an old conspiracy theory that has followed Sony and their products for years. There is no evidence to back it up.

My PS3 died as I'm sure many other peoples have. It just happens. Technology advances, more working parts are required in the consoles, eventually something will fail. All things considered, Sony has done a good job to keep their failure rate down.
