as long as PS3 gives me more Uncharteds, Ratchet&clank, MGS4 and coming Killzones 2, littlebigplanet, etc I could care less what's challenging for lazy developers that only want to port games as easy as possible between X360-PS3 (or vice versa) to make the most profit of a game
my aunt started to blog and actually reviewed MGS3, well I told her that is actually MGS4 but she says it's MGS3 because is the continuation of MGS2, go figure...
Anyway, she gave the game a 5/10...can I post that here?...I mean, after seeing this I think any review can be posted... or?
The difference is tha once GTAIV was out the locks up problems became public, also that it was overrated, that it was rather a GTA game updated with better graphics but more of the same
MGS4 is far from that boat, players that have already played the game backup the high scores, people will keep buying the game and PS3s during the year
And played by adults rather than by 8 years old kids or tough teens that enjoys playing Megaman in steroids and loves when Marcus Fenix says "Back to your Hole!!!" cheeeesy LOL
PS3 will be on the top of its life-cycle when the new Xbox is launched and probably will cost 299...within 2 years is still too early to come with a more powerful console...I bet MFST will invest on an online only console, take advantage of what they know best, SW = XBL
Feels good owning a PS3, not funny to hear that you console is already on the way of becoming obsolete...and since MSFT is not SONY, expect poor support for X360
Not sure about the quality of the ...
the blades design is the worst enemy of the X360, it makes difficult to upgrade it...during my year as a X360 owner I liked it at the beginning then with all the upgrades it became really difficult to navigate through it, had to go through several blades to access my games or demos...finding stuff was really difficult sometimes...it didn't feel natural like the XMB on the PS3
If they didn't use 70% of the space for ad banners performance would be better as they could fit more s...
I call this BS
The difference was called David Hayter...who really want to hear someone else playing Snake outside Japan? I think in this case Konami was smart in not spending money in something that wouldn't be used as 99% of MGS would choose subtitles + David Hayter over anything else... ahving Japanses audio would've been cool, though
"Early stages?" that games has been in development just as long as MGS4 or longer...but yeah, Killlzone 2 will be technically awesome, I just hope they put HEART in it...maybe they can borrow a little bit from Sackboy? :)
I'd like to see (video capture) out first but I agree it will be a nice feature, Halo 3 might have introduced this earlier, but the difference here is that any developer will have this feature available as it will be included in the PS3 devkit...beside youtube allows you to embedd the video if you want to when posting and the sites allows that...for Halo 3 you need to go to Bungie.net...another difference in that with Youtube any of your friends can check your vids thanks to that the PS3 has ...
During the mission briefing, you know you can control the MKII by pressing Square right? besides watching the cut scene from another perspective you can collect some stuff, ammo, ipod music (main theme I think) and Raiden face camo and the camera! the camera is behind Sunny's desk
If you missed to pick up these stuff you can just go to mission briefing and choose the latest one, use the MK II and collect the stuff, choose skip, once you have skipped everything the game will sho...
IMO the PS3 is now seen as a gaming console which it was one of the main goals of SONY, to change that image of media device-only/BR player...it also has now (on the way) a very solid games line-up...the argument "X360 has the best games" is losing strength as a marketing tool from MSFT side
So by x-mas they are in equal conditions regarding games...anyone saw the RFOM 2 gameplay? it's looking great!
So now the difference radicates in which one offers y...
I don't see the big deal if the demand surpassed the availability as it is not like that people just made up they mind to get a gaming console and now since they didn't get a PS3 they 're buying a X360
People wanted a PS3, want to play MGS4 and is waiting for the PS3 to be back in stock, Walmart complains that THEY could've sold more...those people either bought it somewhere else or are waiting for the replenishment...in either case is not a lost customer for SONY
Rather than MGS4 being the title the PS3 needed I see it as the title this next-gen needed to redefine what a 10/10 is in this console generation, from now on the score of 10 won't be given that easy, pretty graphics is not enough anymore we are back to what a 10 should be = A complete game, TOP NOTCH: graphics, sound, story, innovation, etc, etc...everything in one package as it should be
"A RRoD to go, please"
GAME OF THE YEAR! GS review is the prologue of that
"does not weigh more " hahahaha... did he expect a mini-Metal Gear console...hey, that would've been cool, isn't?
That guy is an idiot, she a vain woman and we, the media and anyone else give this attention a bunch of brainless people LOL...back to important things (MGS4)
The X360 has a solid 2008 line-up for ALREADY X360 owners, I would be happy with it if I had a X360...but at the same time it's nothing that is really appealing like to push you to get the console, I'm not taking any risks anymore, I tried it, loved it but broke twice and I hated it at the end
Playing MGS4 is just awesome and seeing LittlebigPlanet makes me just want to get a PS3 then I react "hold on a sec, you do own a PS3"...that's the kind of magic titles MSFT is ...
