Personally, I liked The Darkness better... by the way, it came out first so didn't The Darkness also helped a little to refresh the FPS-story driven genre??
Nice to hear that...I'd be worried if they were trying to run it at 60 fps...it's not like environments are static as in a normal racing game like GT5P and similar
Yeah, that's what sucks with multiplatform games...they don't take advantage of the features of each console...Civilization REvolution could've added Mouse and KY support for the PS3 as the PS3 supports that without any problem...developers/publisher s could also add some extra videos or stuff in the BluRay disc...some trailers of incoming games from the same publisher / developer...I don't know...something
I loved all that extra stuff included in Lair, HeavenlySword, Uncharted...
Konami already did something like this, at least on the PS3 version of PES 2008...you registered to play online and the game was locked to that info to play online so anyone else buying a used copy of the game wouldn't be able to play online unless they had the original user's info
I really don't care if they do lock the games, here in Europe there're not rental services like Gamefly or others in the US so I do only purchase games and check very well if the game is worth my mon...
PS3 is at the right price point if you think about what it delivers...here in Europe it costs as much as an X360 Elite which doesn't have BR player, built-in Wi-fi nor built-in controller batteries...or is touch sensitive like the PS3, which also doesn't have outdated disc trays nor enormous power bricks... X360 doesn't support TrueHD Sound/DTS HD audio nor HDMI 1.3 either...SOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The PS2 could also run Linux, the X360 could run Windows...but as long as Nintendo insists in calling their consoles "Toys" and Microsoft keeps protecting their PC business, people will continue calling fanboys to those that dare to call the PS3 a super/computer, we want SONY to introduce price cuts all the time as if the machine was a damn gamecube or could only play games if it's not "connected" to a PC as is the case of the X360...

Don't have that much time to game, mid 30's father of 2... Valkyrie Chronicles + Eternala Sonata this year are enough for me, I wanna play R2, LBP and the other titles as well....I just remembered Fallout 3!!!...not everybody needs more games but more time...and MONEY!!...this thing about the JPRGs is getting old

Why is it that MSFT always talk more about SONY than about their plans, facts, incoming games?...I read SONY's interviews because they talk to PS3 onwers about plans, current games, firmware updates, etc... they could easily point out the crappy HW Microsoft ships but it's not their style

Yeah, but that's one of the few lazy developer's left out there (Valve the other)...they don't want to modify their engines, they want to develop at the less cost possible and is understandable...don't care about the game but a shame as the PS3 supports Mouse & KY without any problem

Wii attach rate my holy guacamoli...agree with you, the only winner with the Wii is nintendo, third party developers sells poorly...but if you take into account that the development cost is rather low so they are profitable anyway and that's the interest of EA, cheap to develop, create a little franchise and release sequels every 6 months.
the only 3rd party games selling on the Wii are the Resident Evil games and Guitar Hero...the rest is just big bucks for Nintendo.

At this point it doesn't sound impossible for a game to topple GTAIV, they went multiplatform and hurted the quality of the final product...it wasn't a game like Oblivion, Gears, COD4 or MGS4 if you ask me... a game that you see there on the top and putting the bar high for the other developers.

You are not missing much...I bought the maps 2 weeks ago and I have yet to play a ranked match on them... the ranked matchmaking doesn't seem to have a filter to select only new maps or all maps, etc...
so I have been playing the same old maps which sucks...probably because not enough people have got them and I don't blame them...too complicated...it's a turn off. I doubt I will buy any future add-on myself

Are you really sure about that? I thought they said while the localization for the game is done for US/PAL release the X360 version would be ported...that's the last I heard and kind of sucked because it meant that they would delay the PS3 version outside Japan until the X360 port was ready in order to be launched at the sametime as MSFT said.
