I just know that people buying a console is buying it for the newest games and the ones to come, the games that pushed them to go out and buy that console...they don't care about pie graphics or whatever MSFT or SONY can tell about their past...

Agree. That's one of the reason why I haven't cared much about MAffia 2 nor get hyped by these screenshots...the only game I've seen in action is inFAMOUS and it looked great. Maffia 2 will also be great...but no in-game footage has been shown so far so we shouldn't even mention that game

It feels like yestereday when I played PONG...maybe that make me(us) appreciate games in a different way...many of today's reviewers are in their mid 20's so they are too picky when it comes to graphics or other small details...their oldest reference to a great game is Zelda:Ocarina of Time or FFVII (love these games of course)...

Nop, they should not....the PS2 is the PS3's life insurance in SONY's game division...it allowed them to introduce a price cut at the right moment and rather than causing them lose PS3 focus today it allow them to focus more on PS3 and less on how to compete with the Wii.
AS many has mentioned, many games already allowed you to transfer progress from previous games, MArio Kart, Ratchet & Clank, some RPGs, ProEvolution Soccer allowed you to transfer your team...
We also have the XBLA games that will give you gold to be used in Fable 2 and the PSN/XBLA Rearmed Commando that will unlock some stuff for the retail game...
So while this is nice is NOT a Revolution...we haven't seen this much in this generation because we have had so...
It's possible to come from such as small studio because of the same reason is taking time: SONY is an old wolf in the gaming business, they can see quality, they know about games, smell the potential and have PATIENCE, big games take time to be developed... while MSFT is spending millions on getting games that are published anyway on the PS3, the PS3 is getting those games for free which allow them to invest money instead in creating new franchises

Yeah, the biggest problem was the controller according to some buddies that played it on the X360...hopefully they'll fix that for the PS3...the other Alone in the Dark games were never that great but fun...the PS3's DS is a better controller for this kind of games, actually for any genre (except FPS)...Soul Calibur IV will sell better on the PS3 among multiplatform owners just because of the controller

I would say PS3 owners are the REAL winners, I'm not getting a X360 again, not at least this year....there's nothing there for me, the PS3 delivers all I need and beyond...I think...

The announced price per chapter was a typo and is now corrected, the price for the whole game remains the same... otherwise it didn't make any sense that buying per chapter was cheaper than the purchasing the full game

DLC is ok, a plus for X360 owners but it will NEVER EVER be of the same quality than the one featured in the game nor will add some tweaks to the story...just side quests...the game, main story and what has been polished during years is exactly the same content being released on both PS3 and X360

I think people is making a big thing of this...it's not that everybody will be able to charge for a crappy level, it's a long way to be able to do so...so you can be sure if it costs money it's because it's as good as one created by MM themselves.
