You mean like Tell Tale games? They have all those
Play Anywhere is one of those features to attract customers to their services. And they will be very happy if you are a customer of Xbox One or Windows. MS won't release any Xbox One exclusives themselves that are not also on Windows. This is done on purpose because it is best for their business.
Good article. I also loved Bloodborne's approach here. Felt immersive in the way they did it.
@Aenea: Ori is 20 dollars, Recore is even less. Forza and Gears are 59.99 which is the same as they are on consoles. You buy them once and you can play them on both Xbox and PC.
The games only run on Windows so for MS they aren't losing a customer at all.
Even then, the argument would be to have both. PS4 for the exclusives and Xbox One X or PC for 3rd party games. Nobody is going to want to be playing Anthem on dated hardware.
I mostly agree. Although I do still game on Xbox and PS4 sometimes, due to the fact most of my real life friends don't have gaming PC's.
The games are the same price. You buy them on Xbox you get them on PC and vice versa. There are some actual real disadvantages though, such as the security being locked down so hard it makes modding almost impossible.
Nice. Last two games are among my favorites.
It's a lose/lose situation for Sony. Unfortunately they just released the Pro too early and made it too under powered. Hopefully they can keep enough Loyal Fans that will be able to look past the performance gap.
If you have another TV somewhere that makes sense. If you don't... hmm.
You will probably get more by selling it on Amazon, Ebay or Craigslist. I would recommend selling it on Amazon. They make it easiest.
Nice! This one I am very excited about.
And don't get mad at me. I own the game on Switch. I am not doing anything wrong.
It supports 4k already on PC, I am sure it will on Xbox One X. The assets are already there and they definitely have the video memory. Not like that game is pushing any envelopes lol
As long as you offer the best environment for developers to make games, you don't need your own studios. The studios will make games for it. The thing about developing software is that you want it to offer a great experience. You will choose the hardware and frameworks that offer that experience when it is possible. 1st party studios are forced to make games for said hardware, 3rd party studios will choose to make games for great hardware because they know their product will be the best i...
They are getting games though Player Unkown Battleground, Path of Exile, Forza and all the other 3rd party games including the best version on console for Assassins Creed and Shadow of War. And then they are getting free upgrades to games they already own such as Halo 5, Gears and many others. So the waiting is and was already over.
If the game wasn't ready and wasn't good, it wasn't going to help. They can market around Player Unknown Battlegrounds and Forza, plus all the 3rd Party Games being better on Xbox One X than any other console. Granted PC will still be kicking everyone's tale but for those console people it will be very appealing.
Xbox One has a lot of good to great games. Ori and Foriza Horizons 3 are at the very top of what gaming can be. And almost all great 3rd party games are on Xbox One and many of them getting deluxe 4k treatment to make it the best place to play them. Personally I am a PC gamer, but anyone who thinks Xbox One doesn't have great games is either a hater or ignorant.
Meh, look at the PS4 launch. You don't need good games to launch. The games will come over time.
Quantum Break was their big story based game and it had a great story by video game standards. But reviewers dismissed it and it didn't sell well. Ryse was also story based, although not as strong of a story. Similar case. Most popular games these days have very little story. Destiny, Overwatch, Diablo, Minecraft, Rocket League etc.
