Halo Wars, Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay, Cuphead.. still a lot to look forward to. Plus third party heavy hitters like Destiny 2. It will be a good year for gaming if you are into that. Of course if trolling is your main hobby every year the internet exists is a great year for that too.
Did you really want to waste 60 dollars on a game not good enough to release lol.
Edit: so it appears the mass population thinks MS cancelled a great game that would have made tons of money just to be jerks. Amusing.
Crackdown 3, Halo Wars 2, Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 as far as First Party AAA exclusives that we know about. Nintendo has Zelda which I admit is very important but just 1 real AAA 1st Party exclusive. Sony has Horizon which looks awesome and GT Sport which looks ok as far as 1st Party Exclusives.
There are some second party games like Persona 5 and Nioh that look interesting, but we will have to see how those turn out.
Story was interesting. Characters weren't developed very well but they did a good job of putting you in interesting situations. I would say as far as story goes it was second best of the series overall.
Forza is amazing!
That is a great price, if it holds up.
Horizons in particular looks great, can't wait. But this was about games already released. Halo Wars 2 also coming out pretty soon.
I can't wait. Gears kind of spoiled us, such a graphical showcase on the PC. I am hoping this game will raise the bar though. My Titan is hungry
Until Dawn and Last Guardian are good games. If you wanted to include them I wouldn't be mad. I just don't see them as standout games. My personal view. Bloodborne is my favorite game of this generation by a pretty large margin, I was just trying to point out how silly the article is. Neither MS or Sony are hurting when it comes to exclusives.
Ori isn't an indie game. It was published by Microsoft.
Edit: for the mentally challenged:
Wiki: An independent video game (commonly referred to as an indie game) is a video game that is created without the financial support of a publisher.
Edit: for the thick headed dude below. Yes, Moon Studios is an independent developer. Ori was not an Indie game. MS funded it and published it.
No, I didn't.
Standout Exclusives this generation.
Xbox: Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizons, Forza, Ori, Gears.
Sony: Uncharted, Bloodborne.
It isn't up to Sony. It is up to Activision. I am not sure what they will do. Destiny was insanely popular. Word is that Destiny 2 is coming to PC as well as PS and Xbox so they might not want to do any exclusive deals this time around.
Bungie has a 10 year deal with Activision. Are you saying Activision also has a 10 year deal with Sony?
Edit. Upon closer looking. No the deal is not for ten years. The deal was for the original Destiny game and the DLC, which was thought to be a 10 year endeavor at first. But Bungie and Activision are not sticking to that plan and are releasing a new game in Destiny 2.
I am sure MS would love to recover their investment, but sadly it sounds like the game just wasn't good. I doubt they could sell it to anyone for any real money.
Halo Wars 2, Crackdown, Sea of Thieves seem like fine exclusives. Wonder if Sony will have a deal with Activision for Destiny 2 but if not MS should jump on that.
Isn't Minecraft the most successful game of the past generation? Of course they bought that IP but still theirs.
MS wasn't developing the game. But yes they could be hacks for giving money to a studio who has been struggling to make good games lately.
Love how people are trying to pin this on Microsoft haha. Platinum failed to finish a product. They are at fault here. When I hire someone to do something I expect it to be done. If anything MS's fault is that they keep giving devs money before a product is done. Ori is a good example, they didn't just give them money, there was a product there already and they helped make it better. Same thing with Tomb Raider, there was already a solid foundation. Granted it did pay off with Sunset ...
And State of Decay. If they are good, absolutely. All the games you mentioned will have tons of replay value.
