Are you still in denial it uses a Tegra chip lol. It has been confirmed by Nvidia, let go bro. You will be ok. As for the textures being sharper, they do look sharper. But then again the WiiU footage is 8 months old. Hard to compare it to a build from 2 days ago.
Where is that WiiU video from? Looks like an old build from 8 months ago lol. I would wait until they do an actual comparison.
Oh Nintendo. Make a competitive system already and stop taking advantage or your loyal servants.
Wii U version looks quite a bit better. Softer shadows, DOF looks more natural. Especially the grass in front of the fallen tree looks a lot better. Looks very unnatural on the Switch. The stone also is off on the Switch. The focus on the camera is on the animal, but the stone is just as sharp, as is the shadow, there should be some softness to the stone and shadows.
So it is outdated.
Definitely my preferred platform to game. So many options, so many different types of gaming and all while outperforming the competition. Win, win, win
Better hardware. Zelda was really the only game that I wanted but so disappointing that even the Wii U will run it better. Please release Zelda on the PC, stop holding your own developers hostage with terrible hardware.
No software is going to make that outdated hardware compelling. 720p and with a mobile GPU. Ugh, what were they thinking. Zelda deserves better.
It does look really awful.
Sadly, I am not surprised. Nintendo has lost touch with the industry.
It was so bad that I feel sorry for Nintendo.
Small scale? Ori is one of the most beautiful games of this gen. Ori has one of the best soundtracks ever, Ori has gameplay that isn't rivaled by any platformer I have played. It was a huge production. It started off as a small scale game but then MS stepped in and provided funding to make it the game it is. Including Full Orchestra soundtrack, and some of the best artwork you will ever see in a game. If you haven't played it, I advise you get on that right away.
I don't have any performance issues on my PC, but hopefully it will help people that do.
It would actually be 360.. 430 if you want a real controller.
They are saying you will get 3 hours of Zelda gameplay mobile. Which probably means closer to 2 hours. I am waiting for reviews, as badly as I want Zelda. Plus a 720 screen at that close of distance is just unacceptable. Not competitive with where the current mobile market is.
Edit: charging while you play isn't really mobile. Unless you plan to carry a portable battery in your backpack everywhere you go.
Zelda alone makes the launch lineup good, but I really don't like the device. Just a shame such talented developers are stuck creating games for such limited hardware.
Very odd device. Can't compete with Consoles due to the Chip used. Can't compete with mobile because the battery is too small. Seems like it wasn't very well thought out. I do think the price is somewhat reasonable, but a 720 screen is rough. They should have opted for a high dpi screen and then just scaled the games like Apple does.
I wish the device was flush with the controllers. That gap on the top left and right make it look like it was hacked together.
Exactly. Not even possible.
Been a long time since I have seen a 3ds in the USA. All the kids have smart phones.
