"Failure" is a universal trait that can happen to anyone (or business). Luck may have little to do with Pokemon GO's success, because Nintendo's been down this road before. They've (Nintendo) formulated the winning strategy for catching lightning in a bottle (seeing as they accomplished this feat more than a few times now), and are now diversify their portfolio so their business doesn't remain stagnant (they're opening a Nintendo Land Theme park within Unversal S...
Smartphones allow Nintendo to release their software (although more causal focused) on third party devices, without having to sacrifice their profitable gaming hardware department. With Nintendo now expanding into different business ventures, it'll become a difficult proposition for those decrying that Nintendo should go "software only" if they manage to obtain their currently high rising stock portfolio.
This is a great game. Good story mode - amazing multiplayer action, fun for all involved.
LOL, WUT!? ;)
Japan needs a second console to sell release their games onto (not counting handhelds because of the power issue with AAA console games). Microsoft's gaming platform sales have regressed to the point of them being a non-factor, which allows the PS4 to virtually have an abundance third party exclusive support.
When Nintendo's new NX console releases, it'll create an equilibrium of gaming platforms for developers to port their software to.
LOL, WUT!? ;)
IGN: "We're thirsty for Breathe of The Wild" lol.
Holy...
The fact that Nintendo's mainly a gaming company (though they are expanding into other business ventures in the future), it's ludicrous how they might end up being bigger than other businesses with a massive conglomerate of departments ;)
Amazing story, adorable dog.
So now Nintendo will focus all their casual software efforts towards smarts phones, nice! ;)
I just hope this time around, NX owners support the quality third party titles.
Hey; They ain't no Dualshockers at least :P .
You shouldn't base games on the opinion of others (most of the time anyway). Over at Neogaf; there's threads on how Uncharted 4 isn't as good as the second (Uncharted 2), yet it received overwhelming praise by critics. I personally thought Rise of the Tomb Raider was a better game because it focused more on gameplay instead of visuals (it's a great looking game nonetheless), which is something I prefer but maybe others don't.
Quantum Break; a new IP with...
Um.., what!?
Backward compatibility is something a lot of gamers want. The Wii U had it since day one, though missed out on third party support in general (which is why it floundered in sales). The Xbox one has support and it allows owners to go back and play their recent favorite games.
"But they have no games to play!" Pot calling kettle black? I always read comments on how people wish the PS4 and Vita were more backward compatibility friendl...
They learned to be more consumer friendly.
Some people *coughextremefanboyscough* hate anything positive that doesn't reflect their gaming company of choice. By Microsoft doing this; it forces Sony hand, so they have to follow suit.
#4theplayers, remember?
I know some people may not like this comment, though a condensed (not too light on content, but also not so much to steer people away from Nintendo's own gaming platform versions) Rhythm Heaven title for smarts phones, would be a great idea.
Brooks!? Lol, I remember those xD (one of my favorite shoe brands).
This is Microsoft learning from their past misdeeds.
LMAO, WUT!? ;)
