Ffxiv is a much more solid game. With a current Gen graphics engine to boot.

It is also hard for people to imagine that people might want BOTH consoles. I'm a Playstation first type of person, if it's multiplat I buy it on my ps4. However, I wonder if there are people who realize that both consoles have exclusives. As a gamer I want to play them all! My opinion is that ps4 has better exclusives, but someone might like the xbone exclusives better and bully for them.

This article makes some good points. The gating is always seen as a problem, but those just looking for a good rpg with a good story to play, then definitely pick up the original. By the time you get through the main story, you will definitely have found a groove and buy the expansion.
For me, it's the animations of movement that stand out more than the graphics. Both are solid but Nathan seems to be a bit less...floaty. By that I mean it feels like he is making better contact with his environment, it seems more grounded.
I have been looking forward to this game for such a long time. So it is dissapointing that the game is so all over the place. The menu is beyond terrible. The mechanics work well but the jumpy camera can take you out of the game. I do not know how this reviewer came up with this score, I wanted so badly for this game to be great.
You cancelled for those two reasons? Haha you shouldn't have pre-ordered it in the first place then. Perhaps you should have been worried about the mechanics, or graphics or...anything else besides those two nonissues.
I own the expansion on both PC and PS4. With everything maxed out on my PC there is little difference between the two. You can tell in future updates PC will pull away, but it's not noticeable right now. The ground maybe looked a bit better.
Speaking to a couple people regarding possible release year. It is a forgone conclusion that SE does nothing quickly. Never have, probably never will. However, from the many moons I've spent in ffxiv with Nomura as the lead, stuff gets out quickly and on time. My opinion of this really only means 2017 is not out of the realm of possibility.
In terms of sellability, I don't think backwards compatibility will do a whole t9 make people rush out and buy an Xbox one. It's great that people will be able to go buy cheap 360 games, or play the ones they already own. I just cant see myself getting out there to buy a new Xbox one for the BC. I will be getting one for other reasons, so there is no bias against MS, just devils advocateq
They packed so much stuff in, it feels odd there was no gears of war. However, the last thing I'm doing is complaining considering how good these presentations have been. Overall Bethesda still did it for me. If nothing else was announced, Fallout coming this year is everything I wanted this year. But FF7 remake... *Mind explodes*
It's freaking shenmue III, and of course the first thing you do is say it doesn't look that good. You should come up with a detailed plan on how you are going to get over yourself.
Didn't Gears of War end as a trilogy? With owning both consoles I like being able to get all the exclusives, but for the first time Microsoft is making it incredibly hard to feel good about their first party lineup. The way it works in my household is that I buy all 3rd party games on PS4 due to the xone's not-so-great UI, but I love having the Xbox for the great exclusives. I sincerely hope my xbox doesn't gather more dust than it has been.
The free DLC is mostly stuff like haircut packs, alternate looks for characters, or an extra hunt here and there. No reason to not pick it up. My Gerald has a sweet goatee going.
