I am the type of gamer who will buy all the consoles eventually. But more and more I feel like Microsoft is simply not trying. Basically no changes to their controller, which I was never a gigantic fan of, and then the Bethesda thing. Instead of working to improve they simply buy out other people’s work so they can call it their own and eventually turn those IP’s into Halo (I.e. used to be good but they also stopped trying). Or, like, the controller, pass off last gen tech with a couple extra...

Has there been a release of compatible drives? Last I heard Cerny mentioned that they didn’t have a list because so few were compatible or other wise just not on the market yet

And our trainer is perhaps the stupidest person on the face of the planet. A planet in which Kim kardashian and Kanye west exist, and he still wins for stupidest person ever! Yay us!

US Walmart site shows a preorder button, but when click in it shows sold out already. Unless it’s just another placeholder

Pretty sure it’s 10 mil in fiscal year which goes out to the end of March likely. I doubt we see more than 5 mill by Christmas

You hope so. I’m signed up to every notification outlet imaginable, but I still question the ability to get one of (maybe) 4-5 million consoles, out of the likely 15+million people trying to get one. This isn’t including the scalpers finding ways to buy 3 and 4 for themselves. Hell I signed up for Sony’s direct preorders with over 450 full price games in my digital library, ps now, had ps tv when it was a thing, member since ‘13 and I will laugh when I don’t get an email from them either.

Soooo... I want to know what DualShock you are using, and just what you are doing with it. I’ve gone through more than 20 DS4’s (well, me plus two kids and I can’t stand the feel of squishy joysticks) and I consistently get 20+ hours between charges. Are you charging them with a potato?

I have read two other articles with minor complaints about the UI as well as inventory management but it does all seem fixable.

You do make a good point. The only issue there is the ability for consumers to purchase the gift cards for digital storefront credit. While the percentage isn’t likely too high, stores definitely receive a portion of that sale, or there would be no point using valuable store space on selling them. And buying store codes is a very popular way to do it. I don’t keep my credit card stored on my PlayStation, and I do all transactions exclusively through the cards. I’m sure I’m not the norm but So...

I am legit worried about game sizes when the PS5 won’t even have 1tb of useable storage and games like call of duty are pushing 200gb on current gen hardware.

I have no cares to give when it comes to where good games come from. If it looks good I’ll play it, I dont care if it’s Sony, Microsoft, pc, whatever. But what I saw were a couple games that looked to have potential. What I didn’t see was that something different, unique. Nothing made me want to rush out and buy a series X when it comes out.

I bet you have literally and not figuratively ever played either one of these game because both games are rather popular and reviewed well enough. I’ve put many hours into each and they are good. I’d at least suggest trying them before you bring your terrible grammar into the mix.

It's a remake, not a remaster. That alone should give you all the answers you need about the story being different. For me, the fact that I'm seeings things that I've seen for 20 years in an entirely different light is awesome. Helps that the game is fun and I always love the wacky story that was wacky even in the original.

Yeah you have no idea what you are talking about, do you? Play the game first.

Easy mode should be easy. I’ve been trying to show my 9 year old some RPG’s and he just hasn’t been into it. 5 minutes into watching me play Remake he wanted to try it. Easy mode is perfect for him and he finally loves an RPG. Lucky my wife already cusses like a sailor though, or he wouldn’t be able to play this game.

You also have to take into account the effect digital games have had on brand loyalty. My digital library on my PlayStation won’t transfer over to the Xbox, therefore neither will I.

For me, through about 20 hours now, the emptiness and solitude is quite relaxing for me. I am admittedly an older generation of gamer being in my mid-30’s, but this game allows me a lot of self contemplation as I am walking; there are moments that subconsciously put you into that mind frame. Younger people seem to be in a great hurry, so I hope when they play this they do slow down. I thought I’d be excited to get that trike running, but I far more enjoy the moments that come in walking.
