I feel like just about every game should be played on the highest difficulty for the reasons you stated. I played TW3 on DM the first time through, which forces you to learn the game systems and mechancs to your advantage, rather than just be able to stumble through.

It's kind of sad because it seems like it's easy things that they got wrong that affects the game in the worst way to me. For example, given the design of the game, time you spend out adventuring is when you need to be developing rapport with the characters, but 90% of the 'dialog' is just Prompto saying some dumb thing and Noct responding 'yeah'. Completely uninteresting and pointless.

I played Black Flag because there was nothing else to buy on a new system, but after that, I vowed never to buy another AC game.
First couple were cool and original, BF was just same old thing packed to the gills with meaningless and repetitive collect 'em all quests. Couple that with an entirely unlikable protagonist which was inexplicably referred to as a good man by everyone throughout the game, and I decided I've had enough of the series.
Nice try, but I'm 30 minutes north of LA. 1400 for a one bedroom apt and my mom is moving into a 2+2 condo for 375k, which is about as cheap as you can find. You can't get an actual house until you pass 400k.

That being said, I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a new IP. Even with the other potential goty contenders shown at E3, Horizon was easy game of the show for me.
Only bug or issue of any kind that I've experienced was falling through the map after playing 14 hours straight.

I agree that marketing for games seems absurdly astronomical. I've read that an average company spends 2-5% of revenue on advertising, I just don't understand what a game company thinks they can gain by spending 2/3 of their budget on marketing. You'd think making a polished, amazing game because they actually spent the money on the game would earn more fans and support, as well as probably save money...

From never made any DLC for Damon's Souls, and didn't have any planned for the original Dark Souls until the community wanted it so badly that they finally made an expansion.
Traditionally Froms DLC had been of very high quality.

Where people get it from, is when was the last time you saw a 4/10 from a major review site? It basically means that game is absolutely terrible, or broken in major ways.
I have no plans to buy The Order, and have not played it, but even if we shifted the entire grading paradigm to mean that 5 is an average game, then I doubt The Order would qualify as 'below average'. It has above average or excellent graphics, presentation, VA, etc. And probably below average length...
You've got to be kidding...the game is almost entirely fetch quests. Not only that, but they're worst kind, go here for some reason using your omniscient pathfinding skills, with little story or purpose, fetch quests. There's maybe one good quest in each zone.
I really wanted to love DA:I and believe Bioware redeemed themselves, but 75% of the game is absolute fluff.
Looks like I'll most likely be passing on the sequel to one of the best games of last gen :(
I agree, it's a great game, and I actually think it is THE best FF to date. It has a great cast of characters with writing that really brings a few of them to life. The translation in some of the previous installments was a trainwreck and really detracted from the experience in those games.

Suspense is one of the things that makes Baseball great, and it is constant, but there are so many other things that make the game great. The strategy, the plays, the skill, the difficulty, the camaraderie, the stats, the history...
Persona 5 hands down. Not even close.
