Quit ragging on VGChartz because your console isn't winning. And for everyone who says "I think the final sales will be closer than the estimates" I ask "Based on what?" The only prevailing logic seems to be people pulling for the console they own to sell better simply because they like it.
@2.2 Of course consoles sell right now. Perhaps not as much as they do in the holidays, but a console sold now counts just as much as a console sold then.
Looks good so far. I just hope there is a good tutorial at the start of the game. I wasn't pulling off moves that complex when I played through it a few times.
Yeah, who's surprised? The former head of Playstation thinks the PS3 is just great and that everyone will love it. He fails to mention what exactly will make the PS3 match Wii sales in the immediate future and then make up 16 million consoles.
EDIT: Actually, he says they will be tied in the hardware race which includes handhelds. I'm really curious how he expects the PSP to match DS sales and then make up 41 million units.
That's right. All the PS3 needs to defeat the 360 is to get a port of a game that came out two years ago on the 360. Surely this two year old port that may or may not exist shall be the crushing blow to the console with a ridiculously large game library.
This is a good and varied achievement list. It encourages multiple playthroughs too while not being impossible like Guitar Hero 3. Very good.
Well that's in real life. On the internet, people with different consoles than you are scum and deserve nothing but laughter and derision.
For example, saying "The Wii has fun games" at a party will get you nods of agreement. But say it online, and people will call you a retard.
VGChartz has released new data? No doubt people will gaze upon it and understand how various hardware pieces are doing this week and better understand the "console wars".
Nah! They'll probably just say VGChartz is full of baloney because it doesn't say what they want it to.
This is what I have been saying since Blu-ray came out. HD is not a paradigm shift. It may look nicer, but the benefits are too marginal and the cost of entry is too high for most people to take advantage of.
Well they need two games for two reasons. 1. People will stop buying Wii Play eventually. 2. The people who rely on the Wii for gaming will spend their money on other consoles (PS3/360).
You're right that this isn't the be all end all review to put debate about Too Human's quality to rest. But it still is a good start. I can't think of a circumstance where I wouldn't want the first review for my game to be 93/100.
That's right. There are dozens of publications out there whose sole purpose is to crush your hopes for which video game console has better toys. Its a vast conspiracy and I am amazed you uncovered it.
The one about the puzzles hit home with me. I still remember following the strategy guide like the Bible in the Water Temple in Ocarina of Time.
Good for the 360. Japan was a crippling weakness of theirs and they are improving on it.
Then Too Human is a success no matter what. The game has gone platinum in pre-orders. Another blow against deluded fanboys.
You are so full of crap, that if I carved a man out of crap he would not be so full of it as you are.
This is the first review of the game. So you really aren't basing that belief of "every other reviewer" on any sort of reality.
SUCK IT! The first review of Too Human is overwhelming praise.
I like that someone actually took the time to make this list. Now there's a reliable way to get fanboys to shut up when they say "OMG there are no game coming for your console!"
It's well researched but the thesis is flawed. The median game is not the best way of determining which system is best because no one buys all the games a system has. So systems with the biggest libraries (such as the PS2 and 360) ended up with lower scores. I doubt anyone would argue the Gamecube was a better system than the PS2.
Worst of all, the results aren't that different. Does it really matter whose median score is 2 points higher than the other?
Holy cow, judging from this response you'd think God himself had reviewed it.
Assassin's Creed had many people review it as a 5/10 but it was still a great game that sold very well.
My point is Game Informer is not the be all end all review. Nor was the favorable Greek magazine review.
