I'm getting a PS4 & wasn't ever planning on buying GTAV.
I bought GTAIV & was disappointed. Not doing that again.
While I dislike & disagree with comments he has made I can't fault the guy for making money.
So he makes money buy the boatloads. He can also spend it however he wants. What's wrong with being rich financially?

Tracy Benson was talking about publishers don't trust gamers. Well that goes both ways. I buy my games, yet they want to treat me like a criminal which makes me not trust them. This is pretty much my sentiments as well & MS started pushing me away with the NXE. Yes I like party chat but that was pretty much the last gaming related feature that was added & that was along time ago. Shoe horned avatars, the metro dash, Kinect & apps do nothing for me. I don't like this road they have taken & continue following. They can march on without me.
I don't like steam, but they do know how to do sales.

I like to have a bit of control when it comes to content I buy. Name one cloud benefit that's worth anything that gamers have been able to use.

I don't think this proves anything except that you don't need a constant internet connection. His answer leaves alot of room for the 24 hour check in & DRM. Everyone is tap dancing around these issues.

Devs & publishers don't get money from used games. Why the hell should they? It was purchased new first or it couldn't be used. They got their money from the game. Used game buyers didn't care enough to buy the game new so they were never gonna buy it new anyway. Just because someone took a chance on a 20 dollar used game doesn't mean they would have bought it at 60 bucks new if they couldn't have bought it new.

I think Sony probably has the same or similar used games system that MS plans on using. If not, the developers/publishers may implement one on their own. That or they will heavily support the Xbone over the PS4.
Neither MS or Sony wants to be the first to give the details of the used game strategy.
I think there's another point to make. Some people like to keep they're systems & play them long after their generation.
When the xbone/PS4 days are over then those collections instantly disappear. All games you buy for the next consoles will be vaperware. For me, 3 was my favorite with the first one barely behind it. I didn't enjoy 2 & had to force myself to finish it. I'll never play 2 again. Way too much emphesis on platforming & too over the top. I know Uncharted is over the top but 2 just seemed heavy handed with it. 1 & 3 were awesome though.
