It was such a clear & easy choice, for me, between these two consoles. My system of choice was preordered along time ago. It's paid off & I'm excited & ready. Only thing left for me to decide on is what to play first.

The masses aren't going to embrace it. It will be the hardcore mostly. With all the whining about wearing 3D glasses I can imagine those folks freaking out about a VR headset.

Evil Within is in letterbox & I don't buy games in letterbox format. It's stupid to make a video game in letterbox. It's not cinema!
I think a lot of promises will be made to get folks to buy into digital games on consoles at some point in the future. But, once the market shifts ( if it ever does) to digital then promises will be broken & there will be no trades, selling or lending.
Just my thoughts on the matter & why I'm holding on to physical games as long as I can.
Can't get behind the all digital model. I like the way it is now. Buy a disc copy & have to keep it in the system if installed on HDD but have the option to sell trade or borrow.
Folks that want digital will be able to get it with every game via download next gen. If they go the key code route it'll essentially kill physical discs. Well, it will kill the options of selling, lending & trading. Sure, at first there may be some incentive to hook you in but the end result ...

It is for me, for late night gaming. I have a nice set I like to use & usually run a cord across the room to my AVR. This will be more convienent for me as long as the audio is decent.
Me too; & I plan to take the 500Gb HDD from the PS4 & install it in my PS3. I only have a 250Gb in the PS3 right now.
If Resogun is free for plus then I'm definitely gonna play it.
I'm not a racing game fan at all but I'll try drive club because its free & new. I also want to give DC Universe another shot. I Want to try warframe as well. If all these are available at launch then I may ride them till prices drop for the launch games. I don't want to pay sixty bucks for any of the launch games. This is good news for vita owners & as Lucas_Japonicus said, PS4 only owners. I'm keeping my PS3 but I know many will have to trade theirs in toward Ps4. I wonder how well this "streaming" will work though.
You can buy RC Colas all day here in NC. You can get them in glass bottles too; & a moon pie to go with it.
Coke in 12oz bottle with real sugar is still my favorite though.

I'm with you & its a solid idea. Print the native resolution along with the average frames per second right on the back of the game box.
Also, it should be accurate because a PS4 is a PS4 & an Xbone is an Xbone.

I just want to say that I appreciate you articulating your stance & I understand your perspective on those policies. If you could see benefits for you in them then I can accept that. For me though, it was more about forcing digital on me & forcing Kinnect. As much as I would love all my games playable from the HDD without having to get off my butt & put a disc in.... As a long time Xbox fan they have completely & utterly lost me for the next generation. Avatars & Wii cloning, I was frustrated before the Xbone announcement.
