I guess most folks don't mind renting games for $60 & pretending they own it. PC has done it but that dont mean it fits on console.
Minato-Namikaze, Pawn shops all around have games for eight dollars or buy 3 for $20. I myself have takin advantage of this. Games I wouldn't have considered for $55 or $60.
If they dont have the game your looking for you can rent it for 5 nights for $7.50. There are alternatives to buying new which I enjoy. Im not just talking about Ripstop. Even there you can get older used games for ten to fifteen. Great games ... just old.

Im going to require all these details before I jump into next gen. I started out excited about PS4 but now it's more of a waiting game to find out what Sony & developers have planned.

Some buy all thier games new while others can only afford used games. They were never gonna spend sixy bucks on any game. Why would you want people who would never pay full price for your game to never play your game? Isnt it better they play your game than not even if you saw no money from thier purchase?

I was hoping for the custom soundtrack option on the PS4 like the 360 has. I guess that's out of the question now.
Looks like it would have been an easy thing to incorporate into the unit.
Don't get me wrong I like game soundtracks when they're good but after playing hours & hours in a game I like having the option of replacing the game score with my metal.
It seems Sony has learned what they need to do & this is one of those givens.

Some of us just want to game on console over a PC even if it's not comparable. We don't want to game on a PC for various reasons.
Me, I want to kick back with a controller & play... not sit in a chair & play which is pretty much what is required because a keyboard & mouse is.

I don't think MS will require a net connection to play games or kill used games. I think its very likely that a kinect connection will be required though which would be a downer for me.
Wait n see before writing things off too quickly. You might miss out. That said, if MS charges sub to play MP again I will miss out on the Haloz.
I'd much rather have an OUYA to play games on instead of a tablet. But then again Im not into mobile gaming.

I'm curious to see what Sony does with online gaming. They already have PS+ so what's to stop them from locking out multiplayer for non subscribers especialy if the competitions raking in the dough?

PS4 really needs a chat headset standard. Something simple & wired included with system. Plugging it into the controller would be nice.
As far as the controller.... Fix the L2/R2, make the select & start buttons hard if it will even have them. That would be an exellent controller. Dont mess with the size & shape.

EA may not be afraid of me but I don't like this road we're going down in gaming. I think maybe gamers are partly to blame buying up everything on a whim. Look at xbox 360. People deck out their little mini mii avatars buying clothes for them. It's not even a game but well, I guess people like to play dress up.
I say stop buying DLC that is crap. I wouldn't blame anyone for buying expansions like Dragonborn for Skyrim.
