Now this is not to say we won't have any exclusives exploiting the capabilities of the PS5 early(ish) on. Games like the upcoming Ratchet and Clank already show us a glimpse of what's to come. Sony, while needing to keep it's studios profitable also needs to deliver on the promises made when announcing this new console. So, little by little we will see more games departing from this "intergenerational space" and adopting more and more the full NEXT GEN Monicker.
This is simple economics. Until the PS5 install base is big enough that it can ensure a AAA studios investment in a major title can easily yield a good return we will continue to see mainly games designed to run on both PS4 with some level of graphical improvement for the PS5...
It is a similar Logic behind Nintendo's 1st party approach to the switch for a good time now, but in reverse... the WIIU sold peanuts, let's sell all this games we invested in developing to...
Game looks fantastic... but for the Michael Bay lens flares. I know it´s a stylistic choice. It's just one I don't like :D
Its great, and sure, a step forward from the last gen PSVR, but hardly any revolution. Taking a note from other leading VR companies on the right direction for sure.
Well I guess if you care to call the yearly open world-ish story driven third person action adventure title the best games... And I love my PS4, will get a PS5 and I am super excited for it. But man... PC gaming has SOOOO MUCH to offer. There are tons of games out there that are a BLAST to play that you can only play on a PC. PC still have genres consoles don't even touch, and is still the most prolific platform by a good margin of all out there. Sure, console gaming has that really easy ...
@Zero Blue..
People who buy flagship GPUs are already a tiny fraction of the overall GPU market, that number becomes smaller yet when limited to laptop GPUs.
"Ferrari unveils latest model, much faster than Toyota Camry."
The premise is stupid.
You DO realize that that is the test ground for the technology that will trickle down to the next generation of consoles, right?
Car industry works in a very similar fashion... Halo produc...
I think the word they are looking for is unattainable.
Are the kids in the playground still arguing about blast processing?
@PrinceAli a maniac, really? for not sharing an opinion? Wow... I can't imagine what would your reaction be if someone "strongly" disagrees with someone else's opinion...
I hope the backlash this has been met with makes them consider putting some more work into it... This looks sub par AT BEST.
Yes.
Unlikely?... This is the game I am most looking forward to from everything that was announced / shown so far. This series has given me a lot of fun through the years, and I am glad it is getting the royal treatment this gen.

It's a Review... it will have a lot of personal opinion attached to it. He is pretty clear about his thoughts, the game could have been a ten but given that he believes the story elements were poor choices in his view, he is bringing the score down. You complain about people being whinny babies because their views don't adjust to yours? talk about whining...
So long as the opinions are not tainted by bigoted point of views regarding the sexuality of the characters ...
"and you can tell it's already using the PS5 SSD going through those portals" this is the new "blast processing"? hahaha
Yeah I know there is a real advantage there and that it is a feature, but... come on... you can tell that just by looking at a trailer huh?
I am thinking the same... Also, everywhere I read they said the announcement was coming on the 4th of June, some sites even saying the 7th?. This smells like a diversion or a trolling (not unlike Sega at all). At leas I am really HOPING there is something else actually BIG coming behind this...
copuld this be IT? I mean, everywhere it said the announcement would come on the 4th (some other sources said the 7th of June) I am still holding up for this being just a diversion while the REAL deal comes iin tomorrow or later this week.
A man can only dream... Still, I am getting these... Sucker for collectibles.
people will hype about almost anything nearing the release of a new gen of consoles...
Of course they make wrong choices. A lot of companies file for bankruptcy. That doesn't mean their intention isn't to earn as much as possible.
Whatever guides a choice, it can always be the wrong choice. A CEO, or a Product manager can be dead wrong but still guided by profit... the timing can be off, the product may be rushed, or the market may not be ripe... no company has the crystal ball. They can at best guess with the data they have at their disposal... it can still b...
