My thoughts exactly, I'm getting seriously annoyed with this practice.
Call me old fashioned, but I much prefer traditional RPGs to ARPGs, however, this being Final Fantasy, I will give it a go regardless.
There is a bonus to the MS points system, by shopping around you can actually pick up a 2100 points card cheaper, saving money. Plus the prices are slightly more expensive on the PS3, however this is more than leveled out by the ridiculous cost of Live.

The level of hate shown towards 50 cent in this thread is appalling, his newer music isn't great, but the guy has great presence and the ability to make you sit up and listen. He is also a talented actor, anyone who has seen his film will know this.

It's amusing how if you prefer console "X" to console "Y" because YOU prefer the controller, you will get a rack of comments calling you an idiot fanboy and stating how the other controller is better.

It is awesome though that the PSN offers such a diverse range of games to download.
OmarJA, 360 owners have Halo 3:ODST, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza 3, Shadow Complex and Alan Wake coming, I'm sure they will have a lot to play, and despite what a lot of PS3 owners claim, I reckon a good number of them will be sat playing this game for days when it hits.
MGS4 actually got an 8, which I disagree with, the best game I have played this generation, also what about Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, WipeoutHD (as well as the Fury add on which they have been raving about), Uncharted and Super Stardust, which all scored a 9?
Personally I haven't been overly impressed with the game, I boot the game up, spend a few minutes attempting to get online, I will then join a game only to have it lag because of P2P servers. As a PS3 user I'm not used to playing on player hosted 1st party games and I still don't understand why they went with P2P over dedicated.
The gameplay isn't too bad, the lock on mechanic struggles a bit when more than 3/4 enemies appear. The only other aspect of the game that annoys me are ...
Presto, I think you're the one that fails hard, you have missed GiantEnemyCrabs point. Normally when a game is set for 360/PC release, the PS3 lot will exclaim that it's not exclusive and will talk of playing the best version of "X" game on their super computers with linux installed, but when one of these PC/360 games comes to PS3, it's now just a 360 exclusive? I don't get it.
That's a given as all Arcade games have achievements (not community made ones though) and it's well past the Sony deadline for mandatory trophies in PS3 games.
I really hope this doesn't get delayed, I would take MAG or Halo 3:ODST over Modern Warfare 2 (I assume this would be one of the key reasons for a delay) any day. In fact MW2 is rather low down my most wanted list this fall, Operation Flashpoint 2, FIFA 2010/PES 2010, Uncharted 2, heck even Borderlands rank above it currently.
But back to MAG, this is looking more and more like my perfect online shooter, large scale battles with rank playing a part. Lets hope it works out the way...
Did my earlier comment really make out that I cared THAT much about trophies? Perhaps if you have the mental capacity of a small child, I'm not fussed by trophies that much, I just found the way trophies are allocated in Fat Princess lacking when compared to similar, or even lower priced, PSN titles.

I have to agree with you, I purchased it out of curiousity but have been less than impressed so far, I have trouble getting into a game with my 8 meg connection, usually get in on the 4th or 5th quick join attempt. I also noticed a strange glitch in one game, I switched sides after one match and the commentary was incorrect for my team, almost as though I was still on the team I had switched over from.
Yes, lots of MMOs coming to the PS3, 2 in fact.
