To be fair, I find Killzone 2 rather easy online, aiming down the sights is pointless with the ISA rifle. I haven't played much on my current account - Pvt_Joker_89 - but I have a 2.1 k/d ratio. This includes matches against generals + on the DLC maps, not just low rank scrubs.
These Ditigal Foundry articles are good, I read an interesting article about WipeoutHD and how they produced such incredible visuals at 1080p60.
On the topic of Killzone 2, I didn't find the controls too bad, the only time I have issues is when I go from Halo/CoD and to a lesser extent SOCOM onto Killzone. But after a few rounds I'm used to it again. I never understood people who cited the controls as a key reason for disliking the game though.
I'm happy with the 360 fall lineup to be honest, although for the first year I can remember it's worse than the PS3 over the whole year for me personally. I will be starting (and likely sticking) with Halo 3 ODST, then Left 4 Dead 2 and Forza Motorsport 3. On the PS3 I will be purchasing Uncharted 2, GT5 and possibly MAG should it release this side of Christmas.
You're right Vhero, anyone who buys Gears of War or Halo don't actually like the game, they pretend, all 10 million or so in Halo's case. Honestly.
Killzone 2, challenging? No. That's completely untrue, I'm not particularly keen on CoD4, but it's a harder game to master than Killzone 2. If you want a challenging shooter, look no further than SOCOM, which is now very playable after patch 1.50.
Friends List aside, I'm happy enough with this update, just like Ronseal, it does what it says on the tin, Sony didn't promise cross game chat/invites, so why are people moaning about the absence of such features?
Dear oh dear...
So you would be happy to play it on the 360 then? Seeing as you can download it as a Silver member.
Yes, the Friends List is plain ugly in my opinion, very unlike Sony.
Familyguy, I don't think that's true, FFXI could be played with a silver account, it just required a PlayOnline subscription.
I look forward to seeing the PS3 versi... Oh, there isn't one? Save your worthless comments/nervous damage control for the open zone.
Fishy knew full well what that comment would get him.
[insert random RROD "joke"]
Agrees please!
I guarantee you will get the equivalent of this far quicker than it took us to get the Video Store. Vidzone is useless but I'm looking forward to the addition of BBC iPlayer.
Because it's 2009, I expect some form of evolution on the games I play.
Digital Foundry aren't PS3 haters, they have some articles dedicated to WipeoutHD and praise the game as one of few upholding the promise of 1080p60 gaming. It's hilarious how the moment a site posts something remotely anti PS3/360, the fanboys are up in arms.
PirateThom, damage to your car is taken out of you race earnings on Forza.
To be fair to MS, they're in a good position at the moment, their year on year sales are up, Sony on the other hand have ground to make up, so you would expect more announcements and a bigger showing.
Oh please, don't take us for mugs.
In some aspects yes, the storyline is rather cliched, but the controls definitely separate it from the crowd, the only thing I don't understand, is why a pistol "feels" the same as an RPG or shotgun. Overall a top game though.
