Blu ray was important from a size perspective better than multiple discs on the xbox 360. I honestly can't remember the last time I bought a blu ray disc. I stream everything. It does surprise me Sony didn't put it in but it's a games console with many other features which is usually why I buy a games console.
I'm sure it will have great games. All I know is the most talented and diverse developers are on a different platform for me. It's all personal taste, I don't know why anyone cares what other people buy or play.

A super powerful console with games and studios I'm not interested in is not a console I want to buy. It can be the best hardware created if the devs I love don't release on the platform it's irrelevant
True but there needs to be something else that we don't know about since neo and slim are already confirmed. Plus they need to show software running on new hardware and what better way than a new game or game play you haven't seen from a 1st party game
Yeah good call neo and slim anything else is a surprise. Since I sick of leaks before all press events. I don't mind speculation but leaks so far in advance reduces the impact and excitement in my view

I think it's obvious Scorpio is basically MS going to the next gen but keeping bc. MS lost in sales and Scorpio shows this when multi plat games sell better on ps4 they need to fix it and couldn't catch ps4 sales. If Scorpio is so powerful it will be expensive in my view. For me Nintendo or MS could release the most powerful device ever and I wouldn't purchase it as only 1 company has the studios I love.
I don't think most people will buy a console based on power. That's not what sold the wii. For me it's content and studios and for me the choice is always simple Sony first. I had a 360 and ps3 as I liked gears and perfect dark in the early 360 days. Trouble is I need to own a console that naughty dog, santa Monica, bend etc create franchise for.
Haha Nintendo could release a system more powerful than any pc and sell at £150 I still wouldn't purchase since their studios and talent don't interest me. I go where my fav studios are.
Exactly and this will progress then Sony only needs to have an app and controller no expensive console to sell. Once Internet speeds are fast and smart tvs are higher spec
The MS board have been trying to close down the xb division for years as it's the least profitable. Maybe this is why it is trying to be a broader platform and exist within windows. I can't understand why you would buy Scorpio that plays xb1 games and will just carry on with the same franchises but it's super powerful just get a pc that will always be more powerful whenever you choose to make it so.
I imagine ms will market any console they have as a cheap way to get into games. The fact of having their games on pc helps sales and with more power can run and look better. Everyone should buy what ever makes them hyped and excited but when you hear this console is so powerful it will destroy etc etc if power is the most important,maybe just get the most powerful future proof gaming device out there a PC. The other thing to remember is a much less powerful maschine destroyed everyone. The wii! Sales at least. So does power mean it can destroy ? In what way? Surely it's about playing games and having fun? Nothing else ? Why are people conserved over consoles...
Any company can release the most powerful box ever created, if it doesn't have the studios and talent that interest me then I would not purchase. I like the excitement of new tech and people here are buying day 1, I just wonder what drives that if ms games go to PC and PC always leads with power and power seems to be what is exciting everyone with Scorpio.

Nintendo could release a console more powerful than anything nasa has and I wouldn't buy it since I don't like their studios or games. Power is nothing without content. I'm sure Sony are very worried especially with VR coming out and their terrible sales of the ps4. Especially after hardly any game announcements at e3.
What I find incredibly interesting is xbox fans can't wait to comment on Sony stories. Why would you care ? You made your choice enjoy it. I don't look for zb articles to go and comment on since I don't own that console so the news good or bad is irrelevant to me. Some insecure gamers around here. For me it's studios and devs and Sony have the best line up in my view for my entertainment needs. 40 million sold is great just means more games are coming.
