Playing with my clan for 5 hours today in a 16x16 room. This is the best tactical shooter you can get.
It make me laugh when I hear someone batch about the mechanics of Socom. They think that running around and throwing Grenades one right after another is realistic. It's not, it's a noob tactic that will almost always get you a kill in COd4 and Socom does not take 20 seconds to throw a grenade.
Socom does have issues but I rather be playing it right now than an other shooter. COD4 was good for a while but it doesn't take much skill to play that game. The hit detection sucks, the maps are too small, too one dimensional and too many campers.
LOL, You have no skills, I want you to sit down and just read what you just wrote about having a map so you can know where you are going. You love CODd4 because it's so cheap. Stick with COD4, just throw a grenade in the air and your are guaranteed to kill someone or hide in a corner until your health comes back. I heard the next COD will allow you to fly why shooting an rpg or is that Halo.
I have been playing the beta since it came out and I have been playing this everynight for at least 3 hours. All I play are shooters and if you think you got skills you will find yourself drawn to this game. So all you noobs, stick to COD4, Halo 3 and Gears.
I know if I just want to get a laugh, all I have to do is look for a PoG Post.

it called recoil each weapon have different kind of recoil let me give you a tip(apparently you are a noob) the longer you hold r1 the harder it kick and you can also overcome this by set your weapon to single semi burst or full auto.

Just 2 days of network issues and now this game sucks, lol. GTA4 and COD4 had online issues when they first came out too. This game will sell PS3 because it's that good. Name a online mutilplayer game that is out right now that is better and I will tell you why it isn't.
Socom sh!ts all over COd4. There is no way Cod4 is better than Socom. Socom maps more realistic, much much bigger and they are not flat. I just love how you can jsut throw a grenade up in the air just kill anyone in cod4.
Nothing on the 360 can match the multiplayer player online aspects of this game. The maps are not small and flat and you get a choice of 4x4 , 8x8 or 16x16.
There were issues issues the first 2 days but I have been playing everyday since all my clan members . There are things that need to get fixed but this game beats anything out there right now. You cannot beat the realism, gameplay and the maps are not small and flat like other games that I won't mention.
WTF! The Sever lag issue is fixed. Only issue I have is they need speed up the load times and you can't join anyone game without them telling you what game they are in. This game beats any third Person game out there right now. Once you start playing, the realism, mapsize and gameplay of this game cannot be beat.
All these Xbox fanboys don't want to admit it that this online multiplayer game is the best game out there right now. Log on and you will see all the rooms are full....
Socom lag issue as been resolved. Servers will always be better than Peer to Peer whether it be Computer or Console. Socom Confrontation is the best third person online shooter right now. I never liked Gears because all the maps are small, they all look the same and you move too slow except when you run for cover and 4 x 4 multiplayer is lame.
LOL, 5 vs 5 slow motion tactical game.
If this game would have went Multiplat the maps would have been smaller and Linear like cod4 and Gears of war. Face it, 360 wouldn't be able to handle this game without reducing graffics or map size.
FYI: Server issues have been resolved.
I played from 4 pm to 1 am yesterday and no issues. I went back on a 3pm to 11 pm today and still no issues. Only thing missing is more maps.
You should be since no game on the 360 can come close to the realsim of this game.
