I'm definitely waiting to buy a 360 now. They will have to release it at the same price point as the 360 now. They're supposed to have $200 HD-DVD players soon.
We all have wants EA. We want decent freaking games from you! We want a decent football game, basketball game, racing game, golf game... But as the Stones would say. You can't always get what you want.
Why didn't Microsoft just do this from the beginning?
One more reason to wait to get a 360. First it was 65 nm but I still held off when they had problems. Now I'll wait until they come standard with the HD-DVD drives.

Mark me down for the don't care crowd. More developers need to realize waiting a year on timed exclusives to release your game on another console makes people lose interest and they get distracted by newer more fascinating games. Epic is going to make the same mistake with UT3 when it finally releases on the 360 in about a year. 360 fans will be salivating over something else by then and will care less about UT3.
I take what PSM says about a Sony game with a grain of salt. They gave NBA 08 an 8.0 for crying out loud.
What am I going to do with 600k guns? I can only shoot one at a time. I hope they have plenty of ammo.
I hope MS stays in the game at least through the next generation of systems. I know a lot of signs lately have been pointing in some weird directions for MS but as gamers we need the competition.
Having an earth to rest my weary head on for the next few dozen millenia would be nice.

Does it get old? Not really. I remember re-playing through levels of the original soldier of fortune just because it was so neat to shoot someone in the throat and they actually respond to it. You could shoot guns out of hands and they would cower or run away helplessly. You could shoot them in the foot or leg and then finish them with a head shot later.
Also only the more powerful guns actually took off limbs.
That is the reason I will not buy one until they get all of that stuff sorted out. Who cares if they will fix it for free if I have to go through all those headaches to get it done.
How many 360's have been sold in Japan. I think it's a pretty good attach rate for the people who actually own them over there.
They found one outlet (Amazon) for one time period (updated hourly) to claim HD-DVD is outselling Blu-Ray 4 to 1. When the big picture is actually in all outlets for the past several months it's been about a 45/55 split?
And they say that movie studios are going to switch because of it?
It simply comes down to movies. Blu-Ray has more movies that I actually want to see in hi-def.

I think the point the article is trying to make is that Nintendo is the only one that can make a decent game for it. And that third party developers are starting to shy away from even trying.
