That’s a moral opinion. While I agree it paints a bullseye on the industry for advocates and politicians, that doesn’t trump the creative rights of free speech and expression. The game’s quality isn’t a part of this discussion. Ethics aside, I hope the dev is able to find a third party site to host selling their game.
It should still be part of the standard package or maybe be $40 to reflect the loss of content. And no, Battle Royale mode doesn’t make up for lack of campaign. As it stands, once the servers go off, you’ve got nothing more than a paperweight.
And thus with the exclusion of the usual Forza/Gears/Halo retread, you’ll continue to see Early Access & GaaS as it’s a perfect match for a subscription service like Game Pass.
That article was about From Soft. Sony owns the IP and co-developed it. I’d be really surprised if it wasn’t in the works by Sony Japan, even if it’s just early planning stages.
That’s “all” you want to see? I’d like to see it too, but I’d bereally disappointed if that’s the only new thing we saw. Luckily we’ll be getting an in-depth look at four of Sony’s last major PS4 exclusives as well.
If you’re using your head, not your heart, why would anyone think prices would go down? There hasn’t been an increase in game prices since the PS2 era when games went to $60. That was pre-HD. So you now have the cost of making games in HD, which has been recently jacked further by the PRO/XOX with 4K and HDR. Teams have expanded exponentially in size since PS2. A 200+ man dev team would’ve been laughed at Back then. And games are taking infinitely longer to make. That’s a TON of extra ...
There’s just as valid an argument that a monopoly is also the best thing that can happen to the industry. Most gamers, especially older ones who’ve been around a while, would probably agree the PS2 years were the best years in gaming. PS2 had a monopoly then. By having one massive unified customer base instead of a fractured customer base, companies took more risks and released more games at any point in our hobby’s history. There was no worry of timed exclusives or content, no DLC, and n...
Sure, Windows is doing very well. Without Windows, there is no MS. This is a GAMES site. So constantly bringing up “overall” health of the company is idiocy as we’re not talking about operating systems.
It makes absolute sense to stray from MS. The estimated 30 million Xbox fan base pales compared to Sony’s 76 million fan base. Also, Xbone fans don’t even support their extremely limited console exclusive offerings. Sunset Overdrive’s sales we’re an embarrassment and an indictment on the entire Xbox community.
Any aspirations they have to turn State of Decay into a more powerful and lucrative IP certainly won’t be realized by getting in bed with MS. Wrong publisher.

Micro transactions, loot boxes, and a new revolutionary way to gouge customers after buying their full priced games.
Because you get so much ass, you don’t need to resort to a game with strong sexual overtones right?
I’m sure your “mild” success would be worded as “wild” success if this were for Switch, right?

The ultimate Nintendo fanboy just had to throw Nintendo’s name in Sony article 😂. Some Ninty drones just can’t control themselves I suppose 🤷🏻♂️.

OT: Do you sit and camp on the N4G home page, constantly refreshing for new posts? You must hold the record for number of first posts in these forums.
Maybe if Microsoft actually had more than a small handful of studios, you’d hear more about it from them too.
You’re a sad soul if you’re seriously measuring a game’s value in dollars per hour. God of War is an “experience” and it’s priceless.

It’s been over four years dude. The whole ‘“shoddy reveal” excuse has long ceased to hold any water.
